This area of the Wild and Scenic South Yuba River is mystical, magical, and will leave you feeling deliriously happy. Hike a short way in on a mostly flat trail to find many options of trails that drop to the river for a day of swimming, sunning, lounging, and relaxing. If you're feeling ambitious, keep going up and down winding paths that'll lead you to Round Mountain trail, or onwards all the way to Edwards Crossing (5 mi total). One note: you'll want 4 wheel drive to make it to this area as the roads are unpaved and sketchy.
