Food scene

Pull up to the bar at a local favorite. Or, sit in the best window seat in town. The Craic is a friendly Irish pub with great service, a good selection of local beer and great selection of Irish whiskeys. Their menu is short, but their focus is quality and you can tell.

As one of the most romantic and charming restaurants in the Kansas City area, Café des Amis is set in a quaint upstairs location overlooking historic downtown Parkville. Champagne native Guillaume Hanriot has created a warm and casual environment for an exquisite French dining experience. Tree-lined wooden decks surround the restaurant, providing amazing outdoor seating for up to 50 guests. Ingrid Hanriot assembles a mix of traditional and progressive French dishes. More than 100 wines and after-dinner drinks will complement your experience at Café des Amis. In the evening, the old street-light of Parkville adds to the ambience of the 50-seat bistro.

I know real italians that travel across the city just to eat here. Franks is a Sicilian style restaurant with a large menu and all the favorites. Don't miss brunch on the weekends! My favorite is the Chicken and Waffles.

Halfway down the alley of the American Legion is the best little dive bar that no one knows about. Open to the public, and full of great stories, you can get a cheap cold beer and bring in your own food. Most definitely a local favorite.

Best pizza in Parkville. Daily specials are a local favorite. Detroit style pizza on Wednesdays sell out fast. The ownership takes a lot of pride in their product and you'll be able to tell. Lots on indoor seating and surely family friendly. There's a big take out business serving the nearby neighborhoods.
