My favorite hiking trails.
A super cool place to hike! It's located about 10 minutes away. Lots of Sci-Fi movies use this location for their scenes. Take the 14 Freeway north for about 4 miles and get off at Agua Dulce exit and turn left. Go up the road until it curves to the right. When you reach the stop sign, go straight ahead for about a mile. Vasquez Rocks Park is on your right. It's free to enter.

When you reach the stop sign, go straight ahead for about a mile. Vasquez Rocks Park is on your right. It's free to enter.

To get there from here, turn right on Soledad Canyon Road and go up about 2 miles. The freeway entrance is on your left. Take 14 Fwy South and go about 8 miles until reach Placerita Canyon Exit. When you get off, turn left and go about 3 miles. The park entrance is on your right.

The local bus system is very inexpensive.
There is a bus stop at the bottom of Grandifloras Street, about 1/2 mile from our home. The bus will take you through most of Santa Clarita,. Bus Schedule online: www.santaclaritatransit.com
There is also a Metro Rail Train system that will take you to different parts of Santa Clarita and also to other cities. To get there from here, when you get to Soledad Canyon Rd, turn right. Go up about 5 miles until you reach Sierra Highway, then turn left. Go about 1 1/2 miles until you reach Via Princessa then turn right. The train station is on your right side.
