Ferries are the easiest and fastest way to Fowey and there is a twice daily ferry to Mevagissey from Fowey. There is also a car ferry to Fowey from Bodinnick.

Polruan starts at the top of a hill, which goes down to the river. Walking around Polruan will be challenging for some.

Sat-Nav often takes drivers over the car ferry. Be aware of this if traveling at night or do not wish to use the ferry.
