You can have tapas, a sandwich or a sopón de gandules for two for around $15.00 or you can enjoy fancy seafood dishes and a wide variety of vintage wines. Great service and open until around 2:00 a.m. on weekends.

The University of Puerto Rico has a scenic entry lined with Royal Palm Trees. It is easily accessible from the apartment by train. The University has its own small museum and is surrounded by tropical gardens. . The University Avenue has small cafes and bars that are much less expensive than those in tourist heavy areas. In the afternoons you can catch student musicians rehearsing. The recently renovated theater holds plays and concerts. Many of the faculties also have smaller amphitheaters and their own activities program. If you come when school is in session, there will always be something happen. During vacations, you can still enjoy a walk around campus
