Ballast Point Brewing Co. started in the back of Home Brew Mart, a homebrew supply store White founded in 1992. As of 2015, it was the second largest brewer in San Diego County and the 17th largest brewery in the country based on sales volume.[1] The company's main production facility is in Miramar. It also has brewery locations in San Diego's Little Italy and Scripps Ranch neighborhoods, as well as its original Home Brew Mart location in San Diego's Linda Vista neighborhood.[2]

The Cave Store is La Jolla's oldest continuously running business and home of the Sunny Jim Sea Cave. Here you can descend a 145-step tunnel that provides the only land access to a sea cave in California. The tunnel and store are historical landmarks. The old stairs can be slippery due to groundwater seeping down from above, but as long as you take your time and hold onto the railings on either side, you'll enjoy your trip!
