Great alternative to Terrigal beach popular with locals. Grab fish & chips around the corner from Darron's Seafood. The lagoon adjoins the Wamberal beach, so you have option of fresh/saltwater.
A nature lover's paradise only 50 meters from the cottage. It's a steep trek for the first 25 meters and then flattens out & widens up. Trek along the fire trails to see beautiful bush rock & native flora/fauna. Some Aboriginal rock carvings located in the area. Walk to the end of Matcham Road, turn left, continue on straight up the hill. You'll see the entry gate & signage on the left at the top of the hill. The trail snakes along the Matcham/Wamberal ridgeline with some lovely ocean views.

Hardy's Bay is a very scenic location with a handful of cafes & shops. While you are visiting why not head to Pretty Beach - a great spot for a swim or enjoy one of several bushwalks in nearby Bouddi National Park.

This is a local favourite with spectacular scenery. It’s a steep trek down to the beach, so wear appropriate shoes, pack food, water & a sunshade/hats/sunscreen for a fabulous day at a very scenic, private beach. If you’re lucky you’ll see dolphins. Shhh don’t tell too many people about it. There is a cafe & general store nearby at Hardy's Bay where you can stock up on supplies.

Whilst the beach itself is not especially spectacular and the restraunt strip a bit overdeveloped for my liking, the Daily Pelican Feeding at 3.30pm is a great option for kids. On the way you'll drive through Long Jetty, which has become quite a bohemian area with retro shops and some funky cafes.

Pretty beach is a stunning location nearby to Bouddi National Park where there are several bushwalks, and close to Hardy's Bay with a general store and a few cafes and shops. A great alternative to the Terrigal if you're after a more quiet option.
