New York City subways can be difficult to navigate, especially on the weekends. There are some great apps you can download to your ios/apple or Android devices to help you get around. The express bus to Manhattan is the best-kept secret in Brooklyn and it's only four blocks from the apartment on the corner of Ocean Avenue and Ditmas Avenue (Avenue D). On weekdays, there is a super express to midtown that gets you within walking distance to NYC landmarks like the Empire State Building, Times Square, Rockefeller Center and Tiffany's Flagship store on Fifth Avenue. There is also a downtown bus to take you to the World Trade Center, Battery Park City, and the Financial District which has loads of shopping. Sometimes you want to stay "home" to eat but you don't want to cook. Download the "Doordash" app to your mobile device and you have lots of great options at your fingertips. Everything from Chipolte to Mc Donalds to local food like "Footprints" (a Caribbean treat) is just a finger tap away. Give plenty of time for your order to get here; neighborhood eateries are always overbooked and service can be slow.

For local trips use Uber or Lyft to get around quickly, especially after hours. The subways are 24/7 but there are limited trains on some lines during late nights and weekends.
