In my opinion, this is the best place for coffee in Cave Creek. It's a local favorite. Organic coffee, good pastries, exceptional service, and a small but delicious food menu. The outdoor seating is really nice, lots of trees and other plants, it's also dog friendly.

I really enjoy the food here. There is also a small pond full of fish and ducks you can sit by as you eat. It gets busy, so I recommend a reservation on busy days.

Unique place, small dining area that does not have air conditioner! You can get several different items with fry bread and there's a touristy little shop as well with quirky and funny local gifts.

Parks & Nature
Spur Cross and nearby Jewel of the Creek are some of the best desert hiking you will find. There is normally a small stream running through them, but sometimes it dries up when it's especially dry. There are a lot of saguaro and cottonwood in this area. There's also a small water hole from a natural spring where the frogs like to hang out. Spur Cross has a small fee, but Jewel of the Creek connects and there is no fee at that parking area. JOC has parking first, and SC parking is at the end of the road.

North School House RoadThis is a summit trail that starts in downtown Cave Creek. It's a 1200 ft ascent, so expect a great workout! Parking is at the bottom of the road, walk up the mountain on the neighboorhood road until you come to a dirt road that goes further up. The trail is marked on the left, and it's easy to miss. Views from the top are great.
Miles and miles of open desert for you to explore by foot or mountain bike. Facilities at the trailhead are new and very nice.
