Sightseeing

This place is a true sanctuary and a nice little hike from our place. You don't even have to be a Franciscan monk to get lost in its paths, gardens, and courtyards.

Though not in its original location, this building served as Danville's train station and now houses a trove of local history. The weird caboose bathroom alone is worth the trip.

As an expert on the subject, I can tell you that this is the only place to get a serious cocktail in town, even if it took a year or so of floundering. Very dignified menu, great street-side patio.

The pearl of Danville's dining scene. Or, as I call it, "the restaurant in Mrs. Doubfire." True story. Upscale and continental with an original yet non-threatening menu.

Meenar rivals neighboring Elliott's for the best dive bar in the area, as it hosts live music on a regular basis. I do, however, strongly suggest a side-by-side comparison in the form of a bar crawl.
