If you're craving a good pizza, this place is great, they don't deliver, but they're about 10 minutes from the cottage. They make a great Calzone if you like as well.

This is a great pub, all of their food is home made, some of it is a bit pricey, but they have some great dishes. I totally recommend doing some sightseeing in Lakefield, and hitting this place up for Lunch or Dinner.

UMM do you like Chinese Food? I think this is one of the best Chinese food restaurants that I know of, and my main residence is downtown Toronto, I actually look forward to coming to the cottage and ordering takeout from here, their Combination dinner, is a great deal.

If you would like to have a 5 star dinner, and a 5 minute drive, with great patio, and views of our lake, call up and Make a reservation at Frederick's which is at The Beachwood resort, right down the road from our property. They're very busy on the weekend, so best to visit during the week.

Great casual food and a fun atmosphere. If you're around on Thursday night, we recommend going there for their Trivia Night, you can win prizes while you eat dinner. They also have a really nice patio overlooking the locks in Buckhorn.

This park is very close to our cottage, it is just north of the Village of Buckhorn, on RT 36. It takes about 2 hours to hike through the trail in the park from start to finish, but if you stop to take photos, and or go for a swim, expect to be there for a while. During the summer this is a popular spot for Kayaking, Canoeing, and Tubing, so it gets busy on the weekends. It is most picturesque in the Fall, the photos above were taken by me. It is an amazing place to go hiking, and it is surely a spot you must visit while staying at our cottage.

Ever listen to "The Tragically Hip", well they made this place famous. Go there on a rainy day and hit up a local eatery and don't forget to go shopping at Bigleys. Also make sure to walk around and see all the Locks.
