Sightseeing
Fantastic black sand beach, awesome place to go for a walk. Official Rocket lab launch viewing site, looks out to the Mahia peninsula. Great spot for walking, surf casting or beachcombing, swimming not recommended.
Blucks pit beach is 9km South from us on State Highway 2 . It is a long sweeping black sand beach strewn with driftwood. Not ideal for swimming but a great place to walk and explore or do some surf casting. It is also the official viewing site for Rocket Labs satellite rocket launches which take off from Mahia Peninsua.
