Restaurants & Takeaways

A few of my favourites!
Great brasserie restaurant with well stocked bar, and a separate small bar area with a lovely open fire. Dog friendly in the bar and a new dining area on the right as you walk in which welcomes dogs.

Now renamed Sarisa and under new ownership - great food, they also do takeaways and will deliver to some addresses in the LL58 area (please check as may depend on their driver availability in the quieter seasons)

A stunning place. I 100% recommend making a trip here for a few hours. You can walk along the beach with the Mountain View across the sea and the forest behind you, it’s stunning. And if you check the tide times on the day of your visit and time it right, you can walk across to Llanddwyn island which has lots of historical significance and there are also wild horses roaming freely there. Take change for the carpark.

Great for sightseeing, photos at the famous lighthouse and there is a lovely cafe too. Take some change for the toll road. There is also Penmon Priory and the old victorian dovecot which are worth a quick look and on the same route.

Don't go on a windy day - best to visit when the sun is shining as it makes the colours of the landscape incredible to look at. It's unlikely that we will ever visit Mars, but this is as close as you will get! It's more of a steep hill than a mountain, so if you're not an experienced hiker it's no problem and you can take dogs too.
