One of those places that just does it right. You'll need a reservation unless you want to eat at the bar. Tucked into Old Town Florence on the Siuslaw River, have never had a meal that disappointed.

We came for the potstickers and return over and over for everything else. Great food, friendly staff, heaping portions. Leftovers so you can stare out the window and not have to cook.

Delicious beer made right in Yachats. Ask us for a growler bottle to fill. Tasty and creative locally sourced food. Wonderful, warm environment with games and such. The staff is so happy at work it reminds you why it is good to support local business. Work solo on your laptop in this sunny, comfortable spot or come with a companion or 5 and stay awhile kind of place.

Drift Inn has a warm and inviting environment, delicious food, and live music towards the tail end of the dinner hour and on into the night. It is worth the trip just to read the history of the place - it's in a little booklet on your table.

Luna's owner is a commercial fisherman, with all that is attendant. In the offseason, if you're lucky, he'll be sitting at a table in the back waiting for you and suddenly you will be learning about the Sea. We've had multiple reports of guests who go back the very next day, and more than one has gone back the day after that, too. We've seen people positively giddy.

There is something about a stately lighthouse still in service that makes you like humanity. Most photographed lighthouse in the US. There is a hiking trail, too.
