Here is a great place to hike, rock climb, or do river rafting/tubing.

This waterfall can’t be seen from the road and isn’t well marked, but it is basically a roadside waterfall, and getting a view from above is fairly easy.
Access for Split Rock Falls is from a pull-off located on the southern side of Route 9. It can be found at the following coordinates: 44.124223, -73.657996. You can go north on Rt. 9 from I-87, exit 30. Or, from Elizabethtown, go south on Rt. 9. There is no sign. Listen for the sound of the falls and look for the car pull off area. There is also an outhouse at the road.
From this pull-off, follow the unmarked, but obvious paths towards the stream. A steep, but relatively easy to manage hillside takes you down to the base of the falls and the best viewpoints.
Wear sturdy shoes. There is no designated trail down to the bottom of the falls.
