Just 1 hr 20 min away from Roswell.
Ruidoso is known for its Horseraces and having a nearby ski resort and casino, but it's such a beautiful place to visit in general! I love the pine trees and the forest scenery. The temperature does drop at least 5-10 degrees F° from Roswell!

I love coming here to camp because it's free and it's amazing to stargaze! This place is beautiful for a day trip or to stay the night, you choose!

Cloudcroft is such a beautiful small town with a lot of cool shops, food, and hiking trails.
It is 2 hr 5 min away from Roswell and 40 minutes away from white sands.
My personal favorite location is the Mexican Canyon Railroad Trestle because it's an awesome overview of the scenery and you can see white sands from a distance.

Carlsbad Caverns are extraordinary!
It is 1 hr 50 min away.
If you feel like it's too hot outside than go into the caverns where it's nice and cool. If you are into caverns, than you will love these!

I love to visit this resort because of its beautiful lake which is nice in any season. They have many rentals available and they also have a zipline which I have yet to try out!
