Here is a list of our favorite golf courses in the area.
This is our favorite course in the  immediate area. I love the old hardwood and a stream running through most of the fairway. It also has a lot of character for one of the north country golf courses.
The clubhouse restaurant is worth a visit also. Very reasonable prices and solid food.
Potsdam Town & Country Club

This is our second favorite golf course in the area. It also has arguably the nicest restaurant in the village of Canton to start at or for the 19th hole.
St Lawrence University Golf Course

This track has beautiful views and is one of my favorites in fall. It is definitely worth a try but usually suffers a little from not getting watered enough. Don’t let that prevent you from the trip. It’s worth the drive and you can partner that with some shopping and decent restaurants in Saranac.
