Sightseeing
We often walk down to the beach from our house (it takes about 20 minutes), but it is also a quick 5 minute drive. It can get crowded in the summer, so on holidays or weekends, we recommend getting there early and making a day of it! There are public toilets at Tamarack and also near Pine St. at the south and north ends of the "beach walk".

Walk around (or up!) an extinct volcano. The lake is a reservoir built in the 1940's for cattle and agriculture.
