Take a walk around the village, a loop from the cottage past the school, up the hill, to the 11th century church and down the Holloway path, and past the shop takes 30 mins or so. Longer if you stop for cake 🍰.

Walk to Lynton along the SW coast path from Kingsley House. Around 8.5 miles with some challenging climbs. Head to Charlie Friday’s a wonderful hippie vibe café in Lynton for some brunch or cake before jumping on the 310 bus back to Parracombe. Buses depart and drop off opposite the Fox and Goose.

Awesome wide open, long and sandy beach. Good for swimming and surfing, windsurfing or running up and down. Sand dunes to the rear or the beach are great exercise. Very family friendly and fish and chip shop opens around 1700.

Sightseeing
Really good day out. Lots of happy seeming animals in a very low key zoo. Huge focus on animal care and conservation activity. Great for children and for adults.
