Not just with water (water can actually dehydrate you) Gatorade; Poweraid; Juices; and salty snackies are needed. The higher you go; the dryer the air and less the oxygen. A good rule is 1 glass of juice for every alcoholic beverage.

Hiking and ATV guidelines.
Cairns or stacked rocks are common trail markings in the areas. "Leave No Trace" is enforced by most natives and expected to be followed. High alpine environments are fragile and take a long time to replenish. STAY ON TRAIL.
Most trails are well traveled. Follow the locals advice (ie if they tell you a storm is coming or a moose is on the trail you should listen).
