When visiting Hervey Bay, it is a must to take a stroll along the iconic Urangan Pier. This pier was once used as a cargo handling facility to export sugar, timber and coal. It was built between 1913 and 1917. If you enjoy fishing, take a line and try your luck.

Bamboo Land is a great place to visit if you're enjoying a day out and about in the Howard/Burrum Heads/Toogoom area. You can leisurely stroll the beautiful gardens and see all different types of bamboo as well as home wares and plants.

Shopping Centre
Stockland Hervey Bay is the largest shopping centre in Hervey Bay. It has a Coles Supermarket, Fresh & Save Supermarket, K Mart, JB Hi Fi, Sportfirst, TK Max as well as plenty more stores. It is situated on Central Avenue, just off Boat Harbour Drive in Pialba.
If you get a chance to take a drive to Maryborough, it is well worth it. Maryborough is a very old Queensland town and is full of history. It has a Military and Colonial Museum which is well worth looking at as well as Portside which is rich in history. Maryborough Markets are held every Thursday in the town.
It is about a 30 to 40 min drive from Hervey Bay.

Walking, riding & scooters are an ideal way to see the Bay.
With a bikepath/walkway which runs the full length of the Bay from Urangan up to Gatakers Bay, a pushbike or scooter is the ideal way to get around (if weather permits).
Wide Bay Transit offers a bus service and there is obviously taxis and Uber available too.
A lot of the larger hotels run Courtesy Buses and the phone numbers are listed in the Guest Book in the property.

Hervey Bay is a great place for the kids to get out and about. So if you've got room in your vehicle for small bikes or foldaway scooters, the kids will love it. From our property, you can go all the way down to Wetside on the bikepath, and don't even need to go on a main road. Hervey Bay also has a TimeZone centre, Cinema and skatepark.
