There's no other place quite like Joshua Tree National Park. Visitors from all over the world go to visit its famous trees and stunning landscapes and hike and climb through its many trails.
There are a few different entrances to the Park, but the house is closest to the main one, WEST ENTRANCE, off Hwy 62. This house has an amazing location! WEST is also where the Park Visitor Center is located. The NORTH entrance may have a shorter line if WEST is too busy.
COST: $30 per car, $25 per motorcycle, and $15 for individuals walking in. Each ticket will be good for 7 days.

PRO TIPS:
*If you go in the evening and no one is at the pay station, it's free! There are great places to watch the sunset and go stargazing.
*There is no cell reception in most areas of the park. If you have multiple groups going, be very clear on the meeting spot.
*Bring workout gloves and wear shoes with good grip if you want to climb on the rocks and boulders. It is a lot easier to climb up than come down!
*Watch where you walk! Joshua trees are spiky, and there are many other cacti and spiky things around. Closed toe shoes recommended.

South Park Peak Trail is a 0.6 mile loop trail at the border of Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley. It is a moderate level hike known for its beautiful wildflowers and sunset views.

South Park Peak Trail is a 0.6 mile loop trail at the border of Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley. It is a moderate level hike known for its beautiful wildflowers and sunset views.

This one mile loop is a very popular hike in Joshua Tree, suitable for people of all ages. Although the loop itself is not very long, you can spend all day here climbing the massive boulders, exploring all the nooks and crannies, and taking photos.
