There are numerous places close to the cabin for hiking. But our family favorite, especially if you have older kids with, is the Devil’s Bathtub located in Spearfish Canyon. Get ready to get wet with multiple opportunities to cross the stream while on your hike. In the end, a waterfall that doubles as a slide will be sure to entertain.

Get ready to get wet with multiple opportunities to cross the stream while on your hike. In the end, a waterfall that doubles as a slide will be sure to entertain.
One of our family’s favorite pastime is hitting up the miles and miles of trail systems in South Dakota on UTV or snowmobile. Our cabin is 1/4 mile from Trail 7A and the closest place to rent ATVs, UTVs and snowmobiles is Rec Springs.

One of our favorite things to do is ride the trails on our UTV as a family. If we get back to the cabin but don’t feel like cooking, Lewis’s is the closest restaurant and is well known for the best burgers in town.
