Just minutes from the house, these are the local swimming docks with wooden piers and rope swings. This is the closest access to Alta Lake. Just take a right outside of the house and a quick left on St. Anton Way. You will see a path in the woods at the end of the road. Just follow this path to get to the docks. This is also a great place to go at night to watch the stars.

This is my recommendation for a big splurge night out. Chef Melissa Craig is one of Canada’s top chefs. She won gold in the Canadian Culinary Championships of Canada in 2008. The food is top notch here. You can sabre a bottle of bubbles in the 20,000 bottle cellar, shoot vodka in the ice-room or have ice cream made from scratch with liquid nitrogen tableside.

This place is also considered one of Whistlers’ best. This is what you would think of a classic “mountain town” cuisine. They always have a great selection of seafood and game, the setting is cozy and the service is professional but not stuffy.

Has been in Whistler for many years, but was recently taken over by new management. The owner is a long time Whistler local, Jay Pare and his nephew James. James Pare was previously the executive chef at the Savoy in London for five years before making Whistler home. The food is amazing and at a great price. Highlights are the calamari, roast chicken, also the side of brussel sprouts are out of this world!
