I enjoy going by there during the day on my way back from hiking at Eagles Point Nature Preserve. At night on the weekends, there is usually live music. I love the wine tasting and the atmosphere is always warm and inviting. Everyone so friendly.

I love the live music they have on the weekends. Its right on the water so in the evenings the sunsets are wonderful. They also have fantastic food.

A great place to try out the local brews. They also have great food. Its a fun, friendly, laid back atmosphere. After visiting the zoo a great place to recharge and relax.

Entertainment & Activities
The Denton Farm Park is host to the famous Southeast Old Thresher Reunion, The Christmas Train, Blue Grass Festival etc. The grounds are very well kept, very clean, its a great get away, its family owned, and everyone loves the location.

It a very clean theater, the drive is very scenic, and the city of Salisbury has a beautiful historic downtown.

I love the train museum. There are trains of all sorts and time periods. They also have a old car museum there as well. Afterwards, I enjoy strolling down the historic district of Salisbury which connects to the town of Spencer. There are wonderful restaurants in Salisbury as well.

I like hiking the Eagle Point Trail. Its located 30 minutes from my house. The Preserve loops around a cove on the lake. I would consider it a level 1 hike. There are markers pointing out different trees, bushes, names local wide life, and you can go kayaking there.

The North Carolina Zoo is a short 30 minute drive from my Tree House Retreat on Highway 49. Its a great way to spend the day.

My family and I love going to visit this fabulous park. It is only 30 minutes from my Tree House Retreat. They offer paddle boat, putt putt golf, gem mining, fishing, great walking trails, and a nice Nature Science Center.

This is a wonderful day trip. The Tavern restaurant is a wonderful place to eat at Old Salem. The Old Salem town is authentic with their buildings which include the blacksmith shop, the bakery, schools etc. I love the cobblestone streets, and everyone who works their wear period clothes. It is 1 hour drive from Denton on Hwy 109.
