The best Mexican food outside of Mexico itself. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu and now that the restaurant has grown to include indoor seating, it's hard not to eat there every day.

Great location. Vashon's only waterfront restaurant (sadly). La Playa has a great array of seafood on the menu, tasty margaritas and quick service before heading to the ferry.

Great independent book shop. Many of the books are used, but in excellent condition. New books are also available and the fact that the Tea shop is connected with cozy tables and treats doesn't hurt

Vashon is a great biking destination- if you like hills. Lane and his wife run this excellent shop to help keep your bike in top shape. Also good for winter ski tune ups.
