Dove soggiornare a Seattle

Dove soggiornare a Seattle
We invite you to experience a relaxing and rejuvenating 'Retreat' or Get-A-Way in our Tree Home Suite on Whidbey Island WA...just 1 hour north of Seattle. Our nurturing gift to you is providing delicious and nutritious continental breakfasts every morning you are here. You'll surely transend the bustle of busy life and be transformed as you immerse yourselves in this incredibly peaceful and healing environment. Enjoy 'full-circle' views of rich woods in our 250 Sq ft Octagon Tree Home with a gorgeous cedar tree going straight up through the center of the living space! A solid stairway travels 13 ft above the ground, leading to the 10' x 12' covered deck and your doorway to heavenly rest and retreat! Surround windows and skylights in the roof peak allow you to feel what it's like to be completely immersed in a beautiful, serene, healing forest of cedar, fir, hemlock, maple, alders, varieties of fern...and oh...enjoy watching and listening to our 'resident' deer, owls, ravens, eagles and many other birds. Look up through the skylight roof peak to behold a seemingly unending kaleidoscope view of tree limbs circling their trunks as they reach high in the sky. Be sure to see all the photos posted above including views of the beach, water and stunning sunsets over the Olympic Mountains.....easily accessible, less than 1/2 mile away. This gem is best suitable for adults, but we do allow children 12 and older too. Three adults can manage better than 4 because the hide-a-bed is a 'half-way-between-twin-and-double' size. However it has slats and an excellent quality foam mattress so it does not have the typical hide-a-bed 'bars' to contend with, nor does it sink in the middle. We provide single-sized, thick and dense foam pads and linens when needed for extra people. Please feel free to ask us how we can best meet your unique needs. Accommodations in the one Tree House include: Queen Bed, "Sort of" Double Hide-a-bed Sofa (see paragraph above), Desk, Dining Table, Free Wi-Fi, TV moniter for viewing DVD's/VHS. A thermostatically controlled radiator heater AND electric 'Fireplace' add warmth and ambiance. We provide a fridge (with freezer), microwave, dishes and silverware for prep and eating simple meals, warmed up left-overs, etc. We just don't allow 'cooking', using hot plates or fry pans, etc.... The fire pit may be used to enjoy a campfire and grill or roast hamburgers, hotdogs and marshmallows. Substantial cooking here with your own cooking equipment is not encouraged, because that would require more extensive 'clean-up' than just a few dishes and utensils Our drain field is small and we want to keep the flow of gray water into it 'frugal' and biodegradable as much as possible. We provide a tasty continental breakfast to enjoy at your leisure. Your own private (and VERY cute) Shower House just a few footsteps away provides a shower, sink and state-of-the-art, no-odor composting toilet. We do have a porta-potty (marine type) on the deck of the Tree House for the middle-of-the-night needs so you don't have to trudge down in the dark to the composting toilet in the Shower House. Please read the house rules before you reserve to see if this type of accommodation is right for you.
  • We had an amazing time at this treehouse. It was very comfortable and cozy. The forest surrounds the whole thing and the scenery is relaxing. Lynn and Ken were very hospitable. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Lyn and Ken are a great couple who have created a sweet and cozy treetop retreat. They were kind and accommodating. The treehouse and shower facilities were very clean and comfortable. We had a fun and relaxing time and would definitely recommend it!

  • The treehouse was SO cool. My wife had been wanting to stay in a treehouse forever so we finally had the opportunity with our Seattle area trip. I'll start with Lynn and Ken. They are both so amazing and nice. They had breakfast for us and helped us with every need. The treehouse was cozy and very relaxing. The bathhouse was actually very nice and kind of cool how it was separate. One of the days we explored the island and went to coupeville- i highly recommend this. Had fresh muscles and clams. All the restaurants there were so good. We also visited deceptions pass. It's a little bit of a drive, but being from Texas it was honestly nothing and well worth it! Overall we had an amazing time and I HIGHlLY recommend this place.

  • Lynn and Ken are so welcoming and their tree house is so charming! So much so that I visited two weekends in a row, I just couldn't stay away! The beach being in walking distance is great and everyone I visited with had a blast! Thanks for the magical times!

    Timothy2015-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • The Tree House was amazing. Our hosts were great. The food was good. The Island is beautiful. It really couldn't have been a better vacation. Also- the look on my girlfriend's face when we pulled up in front of a tree house (it was a surprise) was priceless. We will definitely be returning to the tree house in he future.

  • Great location! Such a beautiful tree house! Great scenic views complete with wildlife. Lynn & Ken were great hosts, very accommodating! Excellent breakfast in the morning. It was a very peaceful and relaxing weekend. Thanks for such a great experience!

    Tyler2014-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lynn and Ken were such accommodating hosts! They were very friendly and welcoming yet gave us privacy to really enjoy the seclusion of the tree house. We loved the proximity to the beach! Also, the breakfasts they provided were delicious. Can't wait to go back.

  • I was looking for a special place to stay for my reunion with my 20-year-old daughter, and we found it at Lynn and Ken Berry's Treehouse. It was unique, beautiful, and comfortable. The bed was the best I slept on during my vacation. The 360* views, the skylights to watch stars through, plenty of space, and the delicious continental breakfasts just made it better. The weather turned cool and we'd only brought light weight clothes, so sometimes we felt a little cool, but we were comfortable. Several times my daughter and I sat on the private porch and watched the birds and deer in the woods below us. The treehouse is high enough to be fun, but not so high as to scare you. A hummingbird had built her nest right outside the dining room window, and she with her two, tiny chicks were fascinating to watch. Deer often browsed on the lawn right below the porch. Lovely. The bathhouse was easy to use, super clean, and warm. Lynn and Ken were a delight to meet, and made us feel quite welcome. We plan to come back for sure. I highly recommend this Treehouse.

Experience the forest from this unique treehouse. Surrounded by Evergreens and wildlife. Sunrise brings rays of light over Mt Pilchuck. You may see deer, squirrels, chipmunks, woodpeckers, and bald eagles throughout the day. As night falls listen to the distant calls of coyote or spot a curious racoon, opossum or owl. The ground floor is a great place to relax and unwind. Enjoy a hot bath while listening to some music or head up the spiral stairs to enjoy a book in bed.
We can't wait for you to experience this tiny house in the woods. We call this a treehouse but it's technically supported by posts (nicer to the trees) and it is built on a hill, so although it is high up and amongst the trees, you are never more than a few feet off the ground. The intent of the design was to create a non-traditional romantic floor plan unlike anything else knowing this would be used primarily as a couples retreat. Enter through the custom Alder wood and glass front door to find a small kitchen, living space with stone fireplace, TV, and luxury soaking tub. A small spiral staircase leads to a second floor where you will find a high-end queen memory foam bed. Yes, this is a 2 story treehouse! On the second floor there is also a children's sleeping loft which overlooks the rest of the bedroom. This loft is suitable for a small child but headroom is only a few feet. We found it also requires some youthfull agility and adult assistance to get up and down the ladder I made from pipe. A beautiful knotty alder slidding barn door leads from the bedroom to a private restroom with pedestal sink and odorless composting toilet. The kitchen is equipped with a coffee maker, mini fridge, induction cooktop, mini crockpot, and enough dishes, glasses, and utensils to enjoy a simple meal or drink. We have your choice of a toaster oven or microwave and we just added a wood pellet smoker/griller on the front deck if you prefer to cook outdoors (we supply the pellets). The soaking tub on the main floor is near the fireplace and TV with free Netflix. This luxury tub is a favorite amongst guests! You can literally be soaking in the tub and watching TV by the fire while your significant other is preparing a meal in the kitchen all in the same space! Voice controlled color changing lightbulbs set a custom tone with presets such as a Savannah Sunrise, Sping Blossom, and Artic Aurora. The woods are private but the main home overlooks the open yard spaces. We are located on approximately 3 acres. The neighboring homes are on 3-20 acre lots.
We are about 43 miles north east of Downtown Seattle. We are 15 miles from Everett and the Puget Sound. Here you can fish, whale watch, enjoy many restaurants, or drop down into Mukilteo and catch a Ferry to Whidbey Island. We are just 6 miles from lake fishing and other water activities at Lake Roesiger. A 20 minute drive brings you to downtown Snohomish, with its world-famous antique stores and microbreweries on every corner. This is a romantic small-town with lots of charm. During the day, browse quaint shops and enjoy lunch at one of the great local restaurants. Have a night out and enjoy some great beer and grub at any of the breweries, including Lost Canoe Brewing, Haywire Brewing, and Sound to Summit brewing. Feel like an adventure? Enjoy hot air balloon ride with Airial Balloon Company! Voted 'Best Hot Air Balloon Ride,' Airial Balloon Company is located just 20 minutes from the property and provides couples with a romantic afternoon they'll never forget. Even more adventurous guests can head 5 minutes down the road and take a leap of faith with Skydive Snohomish. The town of Woodinville south of Snohomish has award-winning wineries, like Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery and Novelty Hill Januik Winery with tours available. For a short day trip, head to Monroe and a movie and many more great restaurants. Feel like trying your luck at a Casino? Tulalip Resort Casino and outlet shopping is just 20 miles away. In the winter months enjoy Stevens Pass Mountain Ski Resort just 60 miles away. The Boeing Main Plant and flight museum is about 21 miles away. We are 52 miles from Seattle International (SeaTac) Airport. We are 21 miles from Paine Field Airport. There is horseback riding and many hiking trails all within 30-40 minutes. One of our favorites is about 35 minutes away called Wallace Falls which is a 2 mile hike to a beautiful waterfall. Blue Boy Golf Course is 14 miles away. High Trek Adventures & Zipline Park is 22 miles.
  • A beautiful, tiny treehouse nested in a quiet location off the beaten path. The treehouse was wonderfully planned and built, and is very impressive. The bottle of wine, color changing lights, and the guest book were nice touches. Easy check in with a door code and privacy from the owners. Tub only fits 1 and there is a need to pack light, but we overall enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to other couples.

    Emilie2018-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Place is super unique and so cute. Has some great tech features. And it's just a fun getaway in the woods

    Michelle2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here! The atmosphere was incredibly magical. The space is well designed and very clean. We will treasure our stay for years to come.

  • Stop by Joe's treehouse on your way to North Cascades! Every detail down to the decor shows his passion for this project. It was a cute, fun, comfortable place and Joe was a great communicator. Thanks for having us as your first guests and hope to be back soon!

    Tessa2018-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • There is a lot of nice surprises in the house. Everything is well done with a nice sens of quality and details. The only thing we were disapointed was the not hot water to fill up the bath we had to warm water on the stove. For your information, the main house of the owner is right beside the treehouse. It's still so quiet, in the house we have the feeling to be in the forest even if the house is so close. The owner is doing everything to make the experience perfect and so reactive to any requests. We had a good time!

    Nicolas2018-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Super nice place ! Highly recommended! thank you so much Joe

    Milad2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place. Very peaceful, charming, and romantic. It felt like a little fairytale treehouse and like we were thousands of miles away from reality! Joe is a lovely, accommodating host!

    Chelsea2018-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Magical! We enjoyed our stay at this magnificent treehouse -- it felt as though we were floating in the tree canopy as we slept. The walkways and stairs up to the treehouse were beautiful, and the treehouse itself is full of special touches. A big bath tub, art, comfy bedding, and pretty lighting. Our three year old son came along and stayed in the children's loft bed. He loved it too. A bonus: all three nights of our stay were clear, giving us a beautiful sky for stargazing.

This cozy, semi-secluded, treehouse sits 16 feet high overlooking a 2-acre winding pond. (Water levels vary depending on season.) French doors open to the balcony and wrap-around, cedar deck. The bath house near the treehouse is under construction, but our new outdoor shower is operational and almost complete! Inside the treehouse is a wash basin, water, soap and towels to freshen up. Stay nice and warm with our heated, memory foam bed and electric, panoramic fireplace!
Enjoy the great outdoors while staying in town! A unique place to stay, this treehouse is a great getaway for nature lovers or those looking to celebrate something special! A friendly reminder, this is nothing like a hotel. There is no running water within the treehouse. There is a 2-gallon water carafe with a wash bowl to brush your teeth and wash your face. We supply hand towels and soap. Any used water can be tossed over for watering the ferns below the deck. Currently, there is a porta potty next to the future bath house below the treehouse. If you would like to shower, our new outdoor shower house is located near the parking area. It has a roof with skylights and hot water! Nature is abundant here. You may experience a woodpecker or other wildlife at the treehouse. You might hear the tree creak on windy days, you might hear the frogs croak throughout the night. We offer rare experiences and unforgettable scenery. In the treehouse, there is a full size bed upstairs and two hammock chairs on the first floor. The treehouse's interior ladder has a weight restriction of 220lbs. If you are a larger person, please request an air mattress for the main floor. Your comfort and safety is important to us. Your stay includes a private fire pit with pre-cut wood, tv with assorted DVD movies, an electric fireplace to keep you warm during the winter, and an old-growth cedar rising up through the center of the treehouse. Enjoy breakfast on the deck, read a book in the hammock swings, or take a walk through the woods, your time here is to get unplugged. Plates, wine glasses, coffee mugs, instant oatmeal, coffee, tea and hot chocolate is provided. We also rent camping access on our land through Airbnb so you may book both the camping area and treehouse together.
A mixed area of tribal-owned land, and private home/land owners. With that being said, property values and conditions vary. The Nisqually Valley offers close access to I-5, Hawks Prairie shopping and restaurants one exit south, (exit 111) and we are only 1/4 mile (walking distance) from Schilter's Family Farm, which offers a summer fruit and vegetable stand (June-Aug) and an autumn festival (Sept-Oct) of corn mazes, petting zoo, pony rides and pumpkin patches. Schilter's also offers Christmas tree harvesting in Nov-Dec. We are also across the street from a Hungarian horse ranch. King Salmon fishing on the Nisqually river is a popular event in September, so stop by Cabela's (exit 111) to get your license!
  • They had lit the walkway beautifully with tiki-torches and their surrounding land was beautiful. We loved the way they designed the treehouse with the tree through the center.

    Meag2016-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • This tree house was perfect. The pictures almost don't do it justice, because it is just so magnificent in person. It was luxurious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Michelle and Sean were both super friendly and very quick to respond with messages. It was nice to chat in person, as well. They were so nice to include personal touches, like a picnic basket stocked with the ingredients for s'mores, and a great DVD collection. I truly had a fantastic time and I would urge anyone to stay here. I would definitely come back.

    Samantha2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The tree house is absolutely perfect. I had booked this one night trip as a birthday surprise for my girlfriend, and we ended up wishing our stay were longer. The tree house was clean, cozy yet spacious, and well equipped for all temperatures. Not to mention a stocked up snack / s’mores selection and tons of DVD’s to choose from. With the soon to be bath house, this should basically be featured on Tiny House Nation. 10/10 would recommend.

    Olivia2018-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse was a fun, secluded stay for my husband and I. The place was nice and just as advertised. The port-a-potty was very clean. Going without running water for longer than one night may prove to be a bit trickier, but it was perfect for us.

    Rachael2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • The property is very large and beautiful. The treehouse is within view of the main home on the property, but you still have a great sense of privacy, and the host is very nice and was available if we needed anything. We will be back!

    Brian2017-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Larkin's Treehouse for the weekend while visiting friends who live close by. The charming treehouse provided a unique and private location to spend our evenings, and the hosts were very accommodating to all needs. In spite of the chilly and rainy weather, we were dry, warm, and snug inside. We would highly recommend this place to others who might enjoy this unique "glamping" experience.

    Lisa2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • The place was lovely! I can't recommend staying here enough!

    Daniel2017-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • This treehouse is amazing! The firepit with the tiki torches was our favorite place to relax. The upstairs sleeping nook was so cozy and comfortable. The property is well maintained and the host is reliable, kind and very accommodating. I highly recommend staying here if you want a getaway amongst the trees with all the fun of camping while staying in a rad treehouse. Thank you!!

NOTE: Walk from light rail to our open air 20 x 10 open air treehouse with covered queen size bed. You can also share the living spaces in the main house, the huge back deck and enjoy the garden property.
Welcome! Come enjoy your time in Seattle at a lovely urban farmstead. We are walking distance from light rail! This is a hidden from view open air treehouse platform on the back of a homestead property in an urban neighborhood of south Seattle. You will not have 4 walls here, though it is quite hidden in the trees, so please be a little adventurous. The bed is lovely, fits two and there is a mosquito net as needed. There is an outdoor living room set up and a roof over the bed in the treehouse as well. You also will have full access to the living spaces of the main house: full bath, living room and kitchen (Update: We are currently working on building an outdoor shower and bathroom with kitchenette outside closer to the treehouse, it should be done by end of July 2018 hopefully). You are welcome to use the kitchen but please leave it as you found it as there are two others sharing the common space of the house. Upgrades for 2016 include a gorgeous real staircase (last year it was just a ladder!), a modern permanent roof, and an antique bedside commode (to use for #1 only so you don't have to make late night and early morning trips to the main house). We have a down to earth, welcoming and family/youth hostel type atmosphere (we hope you are too!). There is a huge covered back porch with couches and grill for hanging out. It’s a common space where you might also visit with other travelers staying in our new sleeping hut. Walking distance to Othello Light Rail Station for easy access to downtown. Also nearby is the fantastic Seward Park and the Kubota Gardens for outdoorsy loveliness. New last year is our beautiful Rainier Beach indoor swimming pool complete with corkscrew slide, lazy river, jacuzzi, and sauna! Please note there are two kitties, Oscar and Tillie, that roam around the gardens and hang out on the back porch.
We have a very diverse and friendly neighborhood. We are close to Kubota Garden and Seward Parks - two amazing outdoor spots in the city. We are excited to now have the sweet Beach Bakery Cafe about 4 blocks away at the corner of Rainier and Kenyon. Other good eats are Ethiopian, Mexican, and Vietnamese. Our neighborhood is very diverse and growing, thriving with the expansion of developments around Othello Light Rail Station.
  • The actual sleeping in the treehouse was delightful.

  • My husband and I loved Jessica and her treehouse. The treehouse was a nice break after wandering around the city of Seattle, and we spent a lot of time watching the chickens. The bed was very comfortable, and the net that goes around it kept away the bugs and helped you feel cozy. It's a short walk from the buses and also the LINK, which was great for us as we were car-less for our trip. Jessica has lived in the area for a long time and gave us a lot of great suggestions of where to go along with some little travel maps and brochures to look through. She was also very flexible and accommodating. One morning Jessica even made us a great breakfast with fresh eggs and tomatoes and squash from her garden! We loved to sit on her porch in the morning. It was a very restful and comfortable place to stay, and we'd definitely stay here again if we come back up to Seattle.

    Leah2015-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute and cozy space for those of us who prefer to sleep outside! Plenty of outdoor seating in the backyard/patio with full access to outdoor amenities. Check out the Kubota Gardens while you're in the area!

    Phil2018-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • If you have the opportunity to stay in the Treehouse don't pass it up! I can't wait for the chance to visit again. Not only is the spac (Website hidden by Airbnb) (birds singing, fresh air, plenty of privacy, garden views, smell of tree sap) but Jessica is also a wonderful human being. She clearly cares about her guests and is happy to have them. I felt comfortable the moment I arrived. In addition to the awesome accommodations, Jessica invited me along on her outings and gatherings with friends. I met some truly awesome people and because of this, my time in Seattle was better than I could have imagined. If you enjoy fresh air, fresh garden fruits and vegetables, meeting new people, and sharing time with new friends, you'll have a marvelous time.

  • A peaceful and refreshing way to experience Seattle. We loved being in the community and being immersed in the sights and sounds of the city. Very close to the airport with easy access to downtown.

    Hilary2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying in Jessica's treehouse. The space is very nicely put together and there was a vase of freshly cut flowers from her garden waiting for me when I got there. Jessica was an excellent host, very welcoming, and went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible for the two weeks I stayed there. I loved being able to pick raspberries and figs from her garden and hope to be back soon!

    Jane2015-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • This urban treehouse was beautiful, unique and totally fun! The treehouse is on a peaceful lot that is essentially an urban farm and I had a great night's sleep under the mosquito netting. We used the kitchen, bathroom, and back porch of the house (which was completely idyllic and comfortable). Overall, I loved my stay at the Urban Treehouse! Jessica is great and flexible. Just know that there is a tall ladder one must climb up to the treehouse and it might be difficult/impossible to take heavy luggage up there.

    Emily2015-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. The back porch is so peaceful. Relaxed atmosphere. Farm fresh goodies to eat. Very laid back. Will definitely be back. Jessie was a gracious hostess.

Our tree-house, built by Pete Nelson of Treehouse Masters, aired as the African Safari Hut. The professionally designed interior is filled with African artifacts. It is a wonderful couples getaway. We will discount your rate by 20% with a booking of 2 nights or more. The discount will be offered with our confirmation after booking.
The tree house has a small kitchenette with a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. There is a full shower and toilet in a separate building next to the tree house. A scheduled breakfast is served in a garden center building next to the tree-house.
  • A great retreat nest with a warm and friendly host.

  • Skeeter met as in his driveway and took us down to the treehouse! Loved staying there an experience I have always wanted to do since I saw the Swiss family Robinson. Peaceful location and a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Thank you for your hospitality and a memory that I will never forget!

    Kirsten 2016-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • The tree house was amazing. It was nestled in a wooded area that was full of wild life. It was a nice get away without going too far away. The breakfast was delicious, and there was quite a lot of food. The shower/bath room was gorgeous! It was very spacious and smelled like cedar.

    Lynn2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing and special experience to spend a night in Jacque and Skeeter's treehouse! Skeeter and Jacque were amazing hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic stay. The treehouse is stunning. My eight year old son loves Treehouse Masters and it was so much fun to be inside the treehouse and watch the episode of the treehouse being built. We had a restful night and then a fabulous and abundant breakfast prepared by Skeeter the following morning. My son also loved playing with their dogs which was an unexpected bonus. If you have a chance to visit this property it will be a very memorable and unforgettable way to spend a night. Thanks Jacque and Skeeter!

    Elizabeth2016-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • This stay exceeded my expectations. Skeeter is a wonderful and gracious host. Check-in was very easy. The grounds are beautiful. The treehouse has great amenities and very nice little touches that make for a luxurious stay. Breakfast was outstanding. I hope to be back again sometime!

    Heather2016-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • A great Hidden Jem away from the city, and without being too far of a drive. Skeeter and his lovely wife are such amazing hosts. We have always wanted to stay in a tree house, and this place more then exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be visiting again!

    Bryce2017-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Skeeter & Jacqui went out of their way to make us feel welcome & pampered: lots of goodies, one of Skeeter's books and a fantastic breakfast! The African treehouse is so unique and we are so glad we got to stay there and experience it and get to know them! The communication and directions were great. Nice setting! Loved re-watching the video of the building of the treehouse. Also enjoyed watching the video of their trip to Africa with the spectacular photography! The listing was very accurate, regarding the composting toilet in the treehouse and absence of a shower. So we knew what to expect. We have stayed in a number of treehouses, tree yurts, tree spheres, etc., so we knew the pluses would far out-weigh those issues. Wonderful experience! So thankful to them for sharing the African treehouse with us, as well as many of their experiences!

    Janice2016-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was better than we could have ever imagined. Skeeter and Jacque made us feel right at home!! They had the most amazing shower house that we have ever had the luxury of using. I could go on and on...I would highly recommend their place!

Our place is close to Gig Harbor, several county and state parks (Olympic National Park is 1.5 hours away), art and culture, with great views. We are 35-40 minutes to a choice of Seattle-bound Ferries. You’ll have access to beautiful Puget Sound (including kayaking, swimming, and super beach combing). We are offering a quiet, private, and unique Tree House experience! This jewel in the trees is ideal for couples and solo adventurers. Unwind in a private hot tub under the stars...
Crafted with a mix of beautiful natural woods, you will appreciate the aromatic cedar scent as soon as you enter! Roughhewn, but high tech, including our state-of-the-art COMPOSTING TOILET, which is waterless and ODORLESS (super environment-friendly:-) The photos tell the rest of the story. Come, and if it rains (always likely, October-June), embrace it, look for sun breaks, and breathe in the best AIR on the planet!
We are about 1/2 mile from the very end of our quiet peninsula road, so there is little-to-no traffic noise. The road is therefore a very popular walking and jogging feature for our Crescent Beach neighborhood. We are just 5-10 minutes from services, including a very nice grocery store, pizza joint (which delivers:-), an awesome Mexican resto, and a Pub & Grill. There is almost zero Light Pollution, so if it's clear, you will enjoy star gazing from the Hot Tub, for sure!
  • The treehouse had amazing detail, beauty and craftsmanship. It was so much more then we expected. The property is fantastic, very peaceful and quiet. Jeff &a Cheryl were great hosts gave us details and then were there if we needed assistance of any kind. We will be going back.

  • What a cool and unique Airbnb. Jeff and Cheryl were lovely and provide a peaceful and tranquil Airbnb. Situated on a private cove that flows into the sound, the setting is beautiful and we loved the garden. (Great job, Cheryl!). Jeff and Cheryl have thought of everything to make for a very comfortable stay....oh and the hot tub is just icing on the cake! Would highly recommend to others!

  • Jeff was great at communicating and very welcoming. The location and tree house are definitely a hidden jem!

  • A fun and unique place to stay. The treehouse was absolutely beautiful and the perfect space for two people. The location is pretty and very quiet. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway this is the place.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Jeff and Cheryl's place in Vaughn. I wanted a quaint spot for a quick weekend getaway and it was the perfect place. The treehouse is adorable--it smells deliciously of cedar, the composting toilet is easy to use, the kitchenette is fully equipped, the bed is comfy and cozy, and the rest of the property is beautiful. I used the hot tub in the evening and it was lovely to sit and soak and listen to the gentle nighttime sounds. The walk out to the spit is also very nice and I wish I would have spent more time beach combing. The only thing that I would mention as a clarification is that the only available shower is outdoors next to the main house and is not enclosed. This wasn't an issue for me as I was only there one night, but if you are staying for longer you will want to prepare for either showering outdoors in your swimsuit or for embracing a more "camping" outlook in terms of showering. Jeff and Cheryl were wonderfully communicative and very welcoming even when my partner had a change of plans and was only able to stay for a fraction of our reservation. They even gifted us a bottle of Martinelli's Apple Cider and some chocolates--a perfect complement to the space and vibe of the home. I hope to get back to the treehouse and take advantage of the kayak next time!

  • Jeff and Cheryl were sweet and attentive hosts! The treehouse is tiny but even more charming in person, with fantastic details like recycled high school wood stadium seats as walls and railing and a deck of cards in the small drawer in the "kitchen" table. The place was well-stocked for microwave meal-making and they left us a bottle of sparkling cider and chocolates! The compost toilet is easy to operate and the hot tub by the water at night is truly delightful, complete with terry cloth robes. A small space heater keeps the treehouse warm and cozy - and the place has tons of great lighting. Jeff has a well-stocked binder of activities (including the tide table for the week!) and nearby food options, gave us directions into town the next day but also gave us space and privacy to enjoy the cove. The semi-secret access to the spit of land between the cove and the Pacific is a fun little adventure - especially going both at high tide and low tide. Bring your hiking boots! We were glad to have them in the car. Overall, an utterly delightful weekend escape from Seattle. We'd love to come back in the Summer.

  • This lovely place is perfect for a couple looking for a quiet getaway where you can take things at whatever pace you choose. The treehouse is impressively well-crafted and cozy, and the property is beautiful and offers a great hike along the shore or a paddle out into a gorgeous bay. In the time we were there, we took several walks, enjoyed some wine around the outdoor fire pit, relaxed in the hot tub, took a nap, kayaked out into the bay (and then picnicked in the cove)... One of our two nights, we drove 10 minutes into town and ate at a really good Mexican restaurant, and the next we drove a half hour into Gig Harbor and enjoyed some great seafood. Jeff and Cheryl were friendly and welcoming hosts, who were attentive to our questions and requests, but who also tried to give us space so we could enjoy our time alone as a couple. Our visit there was relaxing and romantic and fun. We couldn't recommend it highly enough!

  • Both the treehouse itself and the location are amazing, truly one of a kind. When you're there, it's like being in another world, full of serenity and wonder. I would recommend this stay to anyone of any age.

If you’d like to get away from the hustle and bustle of Seattle and live peacefully in the trees during your visit to the area, please contact us for more information.
The Squirrel's Nest Treehouse is located on one end of our property. Since we have many animals here, we ask that you do not bring any pets with you. We are offering the Squirrel’s Nest Treehouse for those who want to enjoy time relaxing and sleeping in the trees. Only those who are sleeping in the treehouse are allowed. You are not allowed to invite over other people to look at or stay in the treehouse. The treehouse is a unique structure and is not designed for large groups, and we do not have additional parking space. • This home is a unique, fantastic find. We only spent one night here and wish we were here all week. The view is wonderful and the patio is a great place for coffee in the morning. I have no words for how much we loved the space- we will definitely be back as soon as we can.

  • The squirrel’s nest is a cozy, comfortable tree house that made for a fantastic getaway for some quiet relaxation in the trees without having to go too far from Seattle. Mark and Michelle are great hosts.

  • Amazing experience. Even after going to work the following Monday, I asked my wife how her day was and she said it would be better if she was in the treehouse. This is an experience you will not want to miss.

    Jody2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • I went with my three women friends for a girl’s night to Mark and Michelle’s treehouse. It was great to sit on the deck in the trees. The details inside are very thoughtful, artistic touches without being at all cutesy. We pulled out the small card table and did art projects together. Inside carefully placed windows add to your sense that you are up in the trees. We look forward to going back.

  • Such a wonderful experience! Mark was a great host, and provides many amenities like a coffee maker, breakfast, and some board games! Four of us stayed in the treehouse and felt very comfortable the whole time. Thank you Mark and Michelle for sharing your beautiful, fun, unique home!

  • It was such a great experience!!!

  • If you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable and peaceful stay then this is the place for you. It’s located relatively close to two stunning waterfalls and about 25 minute drive to downtown. If you’ve left your dog, cat or pig back at home... Mark and Michelle’s pets will give you endless love. I highly recommend staying here.

The tree house is somewhat mountain-rustic and is perfect for the minimalist, hikers, kids and even grown-up kids who just like to camp outside! Please note that there is NO electricity or water out in the tree house, and during colder months it can be quite chilly. There are two Cabela's Alaskan Guide cots with memory foam mattresses and full linens inside, and plenty of room to store gear. It is quiet and comfortable and you will have a gift basket of treats waiting for you upon arrival!
Mt. Peak Bed and Breakfast is a privately owned home on a 6 acre working farm, located on the northern plateau of Mt. Rainier. The tree house is located in our north pasture, but guest have full access to our kitchen, bathroom with shower, deck and patio areas. Please keep in mind that there is NO power or water out there. We are an environmentally friendly farm where you can learn about poultry raising, soap-making, canning and food preservation, and eat great farm food!
Rural farm community with bike and hiking trails, fresh vegetable stands and lots of great neighbors who are always willing to lend a hand. And this area does smell like cows! You're in the country! Some good local bistros in town are The Mint, Kelly's Mercantile, and Jacksons. We also have numerous coffee shops (of course, it's WA), Plateau Wines, some great antique and book stores, and a fabulous place to get homemade chocolates and sweets. There is a very good Italian restaurant (El Siciliano's), as well as several Mexican restaurants and The Four Seasons Chinese restaurant.
  • We had a great experience at the tree house! The homemade breakfast every morning was such a great way to start our day before heading to Rainier. Syvilla and Mark were great host but zena is the star of the house. Such a sweet dog. I would recommend staying in the tree house for a great experience

  • Really nice tree house! Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We felt very welcome. Would love to visit again

    Anitta2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here! The beds were extremely comfortable and both Syvilla and Mark were incredible hosts. We would - without hesitation - stay here again.

  • The treehouse was great! I brought my 8 year old to explore Washington and what better way to do it than staying in a treehouse. she got to help take care of all of the animals and that was something we would not have done if we stayed anywhere else.

    Rick2018-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent food and hospitality and a charming, homey stay. Highly recommend!

    Sara2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Syvilla was amazing. I had just got back from a 10 day backpacking trip through the Northern Cascades and had a wedding to go to that night. She welcomed me with fresh towels and soap so I could make it to the wedding on time and clean! When I was getting ready one of my buttons to my dress fell off and she fixed it right up. We woke up to an amazing breakfast from the farm (eggs Bennie, our favorite) and chatted with her before we left. The tree house was clean and the cots were super comfortable. I would recommend staying here to anyone in that area! All the animals and the sweet dogs were the cherry on top. Thanks again!

    Stephani2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Syvilla‘s place is really amazing and the treehouse is an extraordinary experience! We felt at home immediately thanks to her hospitality. We really enjoyed the conversations with her and her family, the friendly encounters with her lovely pets and of course the amazing homecooked breakfast. She was very helpful and caring when I twisted my ankle and even provided me with medical supply. We would recommend this place to anyone. So Syvilla... vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit! ;)

We invite you to experience a relaxing and rejuvenating 'Retreat' or Get-A-Way in our Tree Home Suite on Whidbey Island WA...just 1 hour north of Seattle. Our nurturing gift to you is providing delicious and nutritious, organic breakfasts every morning you are here. Accommodations in the one Tree House we have include Queen Bed, Double (Hide-a-bed) Sofa, Desk, Dining Table, Free Wi-Fi, TV moniter for viewing DVD's/VHS. A thermostatically controlled radiator heater AND electric 'Fireplace' add warmth and ambiance. We provide a fridge, microwave, dishes and silverware for prep and eating simple meals, warmed up left-overs, etc.
  • Cute, cozy, whimsical treehouse retreat on lovely Whidbey Island. My groom and I spent our wedding night in this adorable space. Highly recommend!

    Alexa2014-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a magical place. We stayed at the treehouse because we couldnt afford a honeymoon after we got married but we saved up and a few months later were able to make it happen! Ive always loved treehouses as a young girl so as you can imagine, as soon as i walked into the house, i cried. I felt like I had been waiting forever my whole life to be here. It was more than we imagined it to be. The treehouse is a wonderful way to just disconnect from usual life and connect with nature/becoming in the moment. It was so nice to relax at the treehouse as well as around the treehouse surroundings. Like the whispering Woods, which is great for meditation or just being silent and taking in the nature and beautiful song birds/animals. There is also much to do around the Island if you wanted to retreat outwards as well. We took advantage of both and enjoyed our stay!

    Viviana2017-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse was such a cool and unique place to stay. Ken had suggestions for places to go around the island that were really helpful. This was definitely a relaxing a peaceful way to spend my 50th birthday!

    Danielle2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed a couple nights in the treehouse and it was positively wonderful. Ken was an awesome host, providing breakfast, firewood, and lots of information about the island and tips of places to see. The rain was a little loud on the roof, but that was well overshadowed by the sheer beauty of the surroundings and the coziness of the treehouse. Would definitely recommend!

    Dana2018-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very peaceful and cool! Make sure you check the mailbox at the bottom of the stairs in the morning to get your awesome breakfast! Very peaceful and close to town and just around the corner from the water.

    John2018-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and well decorated. Ken went above and beyond to make sure my parents had a great stay.

    Alexander2017-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • Like others have described, we arrived after dark in December and it was magical! The tree house was lit up with lights and even had its own Christmas tree inside. The amenities were comfortable and Ken greeted us and gave a quick overview of anything we might need to know in regards to our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't think of a more special place to have celebrated our first anniversary. We definitely plan to return in the future during the summer months so that we can enjoy more daylight hours and outdoor activities.

    Nicole2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Treehouse was nothing short of perfect! Lynn and Ken are the most kind, friendly and welcoming hosts, providing us with flexible check in and check out times, a very thorough tour of the treehouse and the bathhouse areas as well as making the place warm and welcoming (not just in their positive and friendly energy, but in temperature as well, as we are not used to the WA state weather. The treehouse has a DVD and VHS player, and a stereo with wonderful relaxing music to play, if you choose to. During our stay, Lynn provided us with the most delicious breakfast options. Morning one, we had fresh berries from a local farm with yogurt, granola and almond milk (gluten free and dairy free to fit my special dietary restrictions). For morning two, she baked gluten free muffins and offered fresh fruit. All was delicious and included coffee, tea and water to drink. Lynn is a massage therapist, so I requested two massages. One for myself and one for my partner. We both walked away feeling great. She is a very talented massage therapist with wonderful healing energy. I highly recommend trying a massage! From every window of the treehouse, all you see are trees. Beautiful, green trees, as well as the occasional squirrel or deer passing by. It’s quite, clean, serene, cozy and felt just like home for our weekend stay. We felt safe and comfortable. It was the most perfect place for me to propose to my partner and we will most certainly be back to celebrate our anniversary in the future and to see our new friends, Ken and Lynn.
