Comunicazione eccellente in tutto

Our cottage is a cosy converted blacksmith's workshop in the ancient Cornish town of Marazion - home to St Michael's Mount & in Poldark country! One of the oldest properties in Marazion, the cottage is just off the main street and the SW coast path.
The Old Forge is a cosy converted granite blacksmith's forge in the beautiful Cornish seaside town of Marazion, with exposed stone walls, real wood flooring and a cast iron log burner (perfect for snuggling up in front of!) as well as a range of beautiful original features including the old blacksmith's shop front, deep window seats in the thick granite walls and even a lintel made from a reclaimed ship! It has a new, fully equipped and beautiful country kitchen with wooden worktops, an electric range cooker, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer and Smeg fridge-freezer, and a bathroom with a cast iron roll top bath with electric shower over. There is a farmhouse dining table and 4 chairs in the living room. The property has two bedrooms - a double and twin. The double room features an old exposed chimney breast and velux windows - perfect for stargazing on a warm summer evening. The twin room has a beautiful exposed granite wall and original wooden beam. Marazion is on the South West coast path with beautiful beaches (including a dog-friendly year-round beach) great for walking and bathing, and famous for windsurfing and kitesurfing. A 5 minute walk through the old main street of Marazion, the town centre features several fantastic pubs and restaurants, including the exceptional Ben's Cornish Kitchen (winner of the Cornwall Life Food & Drink Award 2014), the Godolphin Arms and a number of cosy pubs including The King's Arms (highly recommended for a Sunday roast), The Cutty Sark and The Fire Engine Inn. We are very happy to welcome guests with a well-behaved dog (or two!) however please bear in mind that the property does not have a garden (although there are several patches of grass and a playing field within a 30 second walk of the front door). We can also recommend some fabulous walks - all tried and tested by our labrador, Moo. We run an eco-conscious cottage so, as far as possible, everything provided in the cottage (where applicable) will be local, organic, environmentally-friendly and/or Fair Trade. We really love sharing our little cottage with other people and are very grateful for having such lovely guests who take good care of it during their stay. If anything does get damaged or broken during your stay please do let us know ASAP - we really don't mind (these things happen!) however we often have guests checking in the same day you check out and knowing in advance means that we can make sure items are fixed or replaced before our next guests arrive. Please note: There is no allocated parking provided however you will be able to park very close to the house on one of the adjoining, unrestricted roads. We are very close to the sea here so in the spring and summer it's not uncommon for the seagulls to start their morning chorus quite early! We've tried asking them to wake up a bit later however this doesn't appear to have worked as yet . . .

With ready access to endless beautiful coastline, coastpath routes, coastal and inland villages, Cornish gardens, National trust properties and places of interest, delight and discovery there is more than enough to fill your stay.

    Laura2017-07-09T00:00:00Z

    Beverley2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Posizione splendida e bella casa. Ritornerei e lo consiglio vivamente a chiunque voglia visitare Cornovaglia.

  • Posto meraviglioso per soggiornare. Le recensioni dicono tutto. 5 stelle.

    Roz2017-06-20T00:00:00Z

Grazie!

    Mel2017-06-04T00:00:00Z

    Stuart2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • L'appartamento si trova in una fattoria. Il vialetto è un po 'accidentato. Tutto è lì che ti serve. Super ben attrezzato (cucina, bagno ecc.).

    Julia2016-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Miglior soggiorno in Cornovaglia mai!

Ci siamo sentiti come se fosse proprio fuori "The Holiday". :)

    Sarah2016-06-17T00:00:00Z

Hayle is dominated by the spectacular 3 miles of golden sands that stretch north towards Gwithian Towans and Godrevy Lighthouse. A quite stunning beach that offers opportunities for sunbathing and surfing. When the wind is blowing, watch out for the windsurfers, particularly in the waves at the northern end of the beach. This is one of the best windsurfing spots in the country. Paradise Park is always popular with both adults and children with their fantastic collection of rare birds and animals. There is also a good indoor play area if the weather gets bad! St Ives, once a busy fishing village, now relies on tourism as its main industry. Turner came and painted a landscape in 1811 and art has played a part in St Ives history ever since. More recently Barbara Hepworth and the Tate Gallery have put St Ives on the modern map. The Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden is an amazing place to visit, and well worth it even if you're not a budding artist. Trewyn Studios where she lived and worked from 1939 until her tragic death in 1975 has been turned into a fantastic museum, depicting many of her favourite sculptures in the sub tropical garden, is now managed by the Tate. The Tate Gallery St Ives was built in 1993 on the former gas works site displaying various paintings, sculptures and ceramics. From Penzance you can take the Scillonian for a day trip to the picturesque Isles of Scilly, well worth a visit if you have never been. 10 minutes down the road lies Marazion famous for St Michaels Mount, home to a medieval castle and a working local community. St Michaels Mount is accessible by causeway at low tides, or by boat. The castle is leased from the National Trust by the St Aubyn family who reside at the property maintaining and working the grounds. Penzance has a brilliant selection of supermarkets.

I have a lovely bright, airy single room on the first floor. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and I don't mind if you want to use the kitchen to prepare meals. There is parking on the drive and on the road and a garden with a small decking area which can be enjoyed. The neighbourhood is very peaceful with a path running down the side of the house which leads to the Cober river. The historic town of Helston is a short walk away.
Tea and coffee is provided in the room, but please feel free to use the kitchen to make your own breakfast or heat anything up. You may use the cooker, fridge and microwave. I have a key safe for when I am not around to greet guests, code will be given just before arrival. This is a non smoking house, but guests may smoke outside.
The famous Blue Anchor pub and brewery is a must to visit with free live music most weekends. There are a selection of good pubs including Wetherspoons. Access via the boating lake to the Penrose Estate and Loe Pool for lovely walks to Porthleven and the southwest coastal path. Helston town boasts a fabulous museum of Cornish life which is free and a historic town trail where stories of old come to life. Helston is also the home of CAST, Cornubian Arts and Science Trust who host a program of community projects and who also have a wonderful cafe selling very healthy food. c-a-s-t.org.uk.

Consiglio vivamente a chiunque.

    Rachel2019-10-05T00:00:00Z

    Mike2019-09-09T00:00:00Z

Vicino a Sainsbury's.

    Paul2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Posto bellissimo, vecchia tipica casa in pietra, bagni eccellenti e grazioso spazio campeggio.

The spectacular and iconic house at Rinsey Head is situated on an unspoilt stretch of coast near Porthleven, in West Cornwall. Located on its own headland, Rinsey Head has spectacular views of both Lands End and The Lizard. The private estate extends to over 27 acres and is largely in it's natural state, growing a mixture of wild flowers, heather, bracken and gorse. An incredible opportunity to stay in a truly unique property!
It is all about Location! Probably the best located self catering property in South West Cornwall, positioned on the beautifully unspoilt stretch of coast between Porthleven and Praa Sands; with far reaching views across Mounts Bay, to Lizard Point in the East and Lands End in the West. The house itself perches on the edge of Rinsey Head and sits in private grounds of approximately 27 acres, making the house totally private. Rinsey Head was built in the early twentieth century and is architecturally designed to maximise the views in every direction. The house itself is a well appointed, spacious family home, which exudes a real sense of adventure; unlike many places in Cornwall the weather here is immaterial – on a beautiful summer day relax on the patio and drink in the views whilst a variety of seabirds circle above and dolphins play below; or on a wild Cornish day snuggle up, light the fire in the cosy living room and watch the waves crashing all around!

A cosy but bright log cabin , in a sylvanian setting, just yards from a public bridleway alongside the River Cober. **Please Note - the price per night is for the first guest only. "The cabin" is a log cabin, in an idyllic rural location, just a few yards from a small river, with stepping stones to a tree-lined public bridleway. It is very close to my own dwelling, but not intrusive, either way. It accommodates a maximum of 4 people. A cosy, but airy log cabin with one separate bedroom (1 single bed with another underneath it, to pull out if needed....but NB, this leaves no floor space ) a main room, open to the apex, with a 4' 6" double bed, a curtained area, offset to one side , with a single bed. The shower and toilet room is in an adjacent building (4 steps away) together with a separate kitchen/ dining room. Included in the price is electricity, water, linen, towels ( please bring your own beach towels) , basic kitchen cleaning equipment, tea, coffee, condiments and of course toilet tissue. Also soap and shampoo . There is a hair dryer in the cabin and a cooling fan can be provided if needed ( for those few tropical days/ nights...) There is access to a small paved garden area at the rear of the cabin, with chairs and a patio table This is quite private and just for your use. There is a small washing line , solely for your use, right outside of the cabin. There is access to a washing machine and tumble dryer (for a small extra charge via an honesty box) Also there is access to a small freezer. Our front garden is solely for our own family use. I will happily help you with any questions or recommendations , but I am equally happy to completely respect your total privacy. Our neighbourhood is beautiful, peaceful and calm, with just a few passing dog walkers and horse riders throughout the day, along the bridleway. It is a hamlet of about 80 dwellings, with a small library, converted from a telephone box! I know if you choose to holiday here, you will be keen to maintain the peace and tranquility. There is parking just for you (1 space) close to the cabin. There are no buses in Lowertown, but there are buses from Helston town, to visit The Lizard Peninsular, Truro, Falmouth, Penzance and Lands End areas. There are train stations in Falmouth, Penzance, Camborne, Redruth and Truro, to take you further "up the line" Included in the price is electricity, water, linen, towels ( please bring your own beach towels) , basic kitchen cleaning equipment, tea, coffee, milk, condiments and of course toilet tissue. There is a hair dryer in the cabin and a cooling fan can be provided if needed ( for those few tropical days/ nights...) there is a travel iron and ironing board in the kitchen area. There is a mini oven with two hob plates, in the kitchen. ( NOT A MICROWAVE) Please note the approximate internal area of the log cabin ( so the sleeping area ) is 20 square metres .
I love the tranquility of the neighbourhood. You can just about hear the river winding through the woods, the buzzards calling to each other , the green woodpecker calling........very little else.

Ritornerei in qualsiasi momento.

My place is close to the town of Helston. You’ll love my place because of the close proximity to a multitude of wonderful locations that adorn this beautiful part of the country. I am also located within 3 miles of the Naval air station at Culdrose.
The private single room is located within a two bedroomed property in a quiet location on the outskirts of town. An additional bed can be placed in the room on request. An additional fee of £10 per night will be charged for such an arrangement. The room can easily accommodate an adult travelling with a young child. The room has its own tea / coffee making facilities.
Helston is perfectly located to explore the local attractions, with a multitude of beaches, fishing villages and picturesque towns all within a short drive away. The stuning coastal path can be easily reached and provides the perfect vistas for those keen on a little stroll. The town has a number of restaurants and a multitude of take-aways to choose from and there are both a Sainsburys and Tesco superstore nearby.

Wheal Rose is a small but perfectly formed lodge on the Wheel Dream resort. The property provides great levels of comfort whilst also having access to the on-site facilities. The French doors from the living room lead to an outdoor seating area, the perfect spot for a morning coffee or a well deserved glass of wine after a day of exploring beautiful Cornwall. With your own wood fired tub waiting too, the chance to relax are endless. If you don't fancy venturing too far complimentary golf under brilliantly maintained 9 hole par 3 course is a great way to enjoy Wheal Dream’s grounds. There is also a football golf course on site which is free to use for guests that is sure to provide fun for all the family. Add to this the distant sea views of the South Cornwall coast, the children's play area, and 10% off food at the onsite restaurant and staying closer to home becomes very attractive. The South Cornwall coast is only a few miles away which offers you the chance to explore iconic harbours, hidden coves and sandy beaches.
