Dove soggiornare a Lake Bennett
Cute bungalow on the edge of Lake Bennett, one hour's drive south of Darwin city and 40 minutes from Coolalinga (nearest shopping centre). Step off the verandah, walk across the lawn and you're at the water's edge. Fully equipped with gas cook-top, pod coffee-maker, microwave, Weber Q gas bbq, cooking utensils. Kayaks. Free to air TV (via satellite). No Wi-Fi. Mobile coverage with Telstra. BYO linen or hire mine. You are required to clean before you depart.
The bungalow is surrounded by other bungalows (they are positioned shoulder to shoulder around the edge of the lake) so there's always someone to say hello to if you want to be friendly, but each bungalow has its own yard so you have your own private space.
Lake Bennett is a lakeside community. You are welcome to visit the Resort (if open) and make use of its facilities, including bar, bistro, mini-mart, hire canoes. The bungalows are located at the other end of the lake, around the fringe of the lake.

Lake Bennett is a beautiful peaceful location only a short drive from Darwin where you can sit back, swim in the safety of a privately owned lake, relax & forget about the rest of the world for a while. It is a home away from home with stunning wildlife & simply magical sunsets.
The Lily Pad on the Lake is a comfortable little older style bungalow that can comfortably sleep up to 6 adults (a maximum of 8 but that would be rather cosy) it is more ideally suited to a family or 2 couples & a few kids. It is an ideal location for a family holiday or romantic trip away, it is right on Lake Bennett which is 30mins south of Darwins Rural hub. It boasts a private pontoon right on the lake equipped with a 3mtr Boat (& elec motor), 2 Kayaks & various inflatable water toys & a private boat ramp if you want to bring your own tinny or sailing boats (only electric powered boats are allowed on the lake). The living area & bedrooms are fully air conditioned & the living area opens out onto your own secure deck with outdoor seating & BBQ, the deck area is enclosed via secure pool fencing & has a safety gate to access a ramp down to your private pontoon & the lake. The lake is safe for swimming, fishing & all water sports. The Bungalow is equipped with a fully functional kitchen & laundry as well as a gas BBQ, fridge/freezer, microwave & all cooking utensils, plates, cutlery & some fishing gear & a selection of board games & books & a large collection of DVD’s, it is your complete home away from home. There is also Free to air TV (via satellite which can be sketchy during storms or high winds) & a DVD player for those who can drag themselves away from the water. As an added bonus (if you are bringing the teenagers) there is good Telstra phone reception but there is no wifi so you can enjoy a technology free break & pretend to live like we did back in the 80's & 90's, you will find it is surprisingly relaxing ;). There are life jackets provided & a chilled water filter tap on the sink so all you need to bring is your food & drinks & please keep in mind where there is water there will be mosquitos & bugs as such we recommend you bring personal insect repellent as well. Linens & bath towels are provided but we suggest bringing your own beach towels. Guests are required to clean up after themselves & leave the bungalow as they found it. Please wash & put away your dishes & please strip the beds of all dirty linens & leave them on the floor in the laundry. Additional guests are not permitted unless you have the owners approval prior to arrival. We do allow some pets but this is by owners approval only as there are body Corporate rules in place in regards to pets in the bungalows, so you MUST send a request with details about your pet prior to Booking. Although we do not have a pet surcharge as yet, we do require any guests with an approved pet to vacuum & mop prior to check out & brush down furniture for stray pet hair. Lake Bennett is a remote rural area and as such there can be a lot of bugs after dark at certain times of the year so it is a good idea to keep the windows, doors & curtains & blinds closed at night. Our property is a very comfortable little cabin with all the essentials, it is not a big 5 star all inclusive resort & we are not trying to be :) it is aimed at the people who want to escape all the technology & mod cons & get back to basics for a few days & just simply RELAX. We hope you enjoy your stay :)
Lake Bennett is a small quiet community made up of both rental Bungalows and permanent residents, the perfect place for a relaxing weekend away from reality. The body corp of Lake Bennett has rules in place to protect the area & retain our peaceful vibe, there are no parties allowed & noise restrictions after 10pm. Guests are not to have additional visitors with out clearing this with the property owners first.

Lake Bennett, Territorio del Nord, Australia

Stay at The Rozak House, one of Australia's most famous pieces of tropical architecture. Intelligently designed to communicate with the striking surroundings of Top End Australia. It's a large tropical house that sleeps up to 6 people in two wings, with a central living pavilion & kitchen. It's 100% off-grid for sustainable living; there is no air-conditioning, but perched on a private hill the house catches all breezes. The Rozak House is one of a kind - come, stay & experience.
The elevated house is divided into three separate sections, the main living area with kitchen, dining room, and living room, and two bedroom wings, each of which has a bathroom and a full bath. There are three queen sized bed, and multiple hammocks - a deliberate part of the design, as they are the coolest and most comfortable way to sleep in the tropical conditions. The western wing also has a large desk and study area - perfect for writing. Each section of the house is only one room deep so as to maximise breezes and provide a view from every room. It feels larger than it actually is - while only 200 square meters, it's 30 meters from end to end. The wings of the houses are connected by outside, undercover walkways. Please note there are steps unsuitable for wheelchairs, people with mobility issues or very young children. The house breathes through slatted floors and two thirds of the walls that are made of secure screens. Large reflective roof sections overhang, blocking sun and capturing precious rain in the wet season. Water conservation is critical during the dry season. The building can be experienced through the progression of the day. The sun wakes up and bathes the eastern sleeping wing in red morning light. Then as the day moves on, the central living pavilion captures the midday sun, powering the solar panel clad roof and storing energy for the whole house. The western sleeping wing is warmer in the afternoon but protects the rest of the house from afternoon rays. In accordance with the philosophy of Troppo Architects - “a shelter to be able to better interact with our surroundings” - The Rozak House is perfect for people who want to experience nature and the true ecology of the Northern Territory - animal lovers, architecture buffs, or people who are looking for a getaway embedded in a unique experience of sustainable living. The motto of the Rozak House is to 'Live Open'. We believe this is a rare opportunity to really live in the magnificent Northern Territory landscape and we strive to make your stay comfortable, memorable and exceptional. FAQ - This is a non-traditional building and at least two thirds of the outside walls are secure screens. - Heavy winds and rain can penetrate the south-facing screens during the wet season. - There is no air-conditioning, but there are fans and a pleasant breeze coming up the ridge. - You have the whole property to yourself, but it is not completely isolated.
While sitting privately on top of a hill, The Rozak House, is not completely isolated. Lake Bennett is a small community, 80KM south of Darwin. Darwin has all amenities and before you leave town, it’s recommended that you prepare with your supplies. There are no shops at Lake Bennett, however the local Resort does have a restaurant and bar. You are close to Litchfield National Park and there are a wealth of natural features and experiences to enjoy. It is easy to do daytrips to Litchfield from the house. 30 minutes south of Lake Bennett is Adelaide River which has a general store, fuel stations, and the Adelaide River Inn (Pub). The town of Batchelor is also under half an hour away at the entrance Litchfield National Park. There are a few food options at Batchelor which we will detail in the compendium for the property.

Well, what can I say, it's a shipping container that's been fitted out for clean and affordable accommodation. Conveniently located and secured within a tropical fruit farm, approximately 29 km south from Coolalinga, each unit (I have 2!) is fully air-conditioned with utilities (electricity and hot water). *Note* Each cabin has 1 king single bed. If 2 guests, then each guest can optionally have their own cabin (located beside each other) for an additional $10.
My farm is on 200 acres, with approximately 40 acres of mango trees. There's plenty of other tropical fruit trees on the site, and you're welcome to explore during your stay.
Berry Springs is a fair distance from Darwin, but worth the drive if you like sparsely populated areas and natural bushland with its wildlife, such as wallabies, whistling ducks and parrots.

It's a great rural spot to escape city life, reset your clock or embark on an adventure to Litchfield Park. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the outdoor spaces, mother nature and the peaceful neighbourhood. There are a couple of accommodation options, depending upon the number and preference of guests. The granny flat is self-contained, but some shared spaces are available.
20 acres with a fenced house yard. Suits lovers of the great outdoors: nature photographers, bush walkers, bird watchers, star gazers. Seasonal changes will impact on what's most appealing: bonfires, hikes, storm photography, swimming in the dam. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). There are hills and wet season creeks to explore and you can dream beneath amazing starry skies.
All our neighbours are on 20 acres, so we don't actually see or hear them. Mick Denigan (Mick's Whips) is a local legend who lives and works 3 doors down. You can purchase whips and croc products as well as have some whip cracking lessons. We're just 13 km from Berry Springs, where you can swim, picnic, visit the local Tavern for a great meal and drinks, or shop at the local IGA, service station and hardware store. There is a doctor and chemist too.

Only 40 minutes from Darwin city, the River Junction Cabin in historical Southport is perfect for a weekend getaway or an extended holiday. The Blackmore River boat ramp is 300m away providing access to Darwin Harbour, and there is always something to do! Local attractions include the popular swimming spot Berry Springs, the Territory Wildlife Park, Litchfield, and the Cox Peninsular. Easy living with continental breakfast supplies included, two pubs and a small shopping precinct nearby.
Located at the northern end of Southport, the River Junction Cabin has a quiet and peaceful ambiance. The deck overlooks natural bushland and is perfect for relaxing and watching the excellent bird life in the morning or the sunset in the evening. Although most suited for singles or couples, there is plenty of space to pitch tent/s to accommodate extra numbers. Please negotiate fees to accommodate extra visitors with Dion or Kate. We can provide a large tent, camp beds and linen for this purpose.
Southport was a vibrant river port in the 1870’s, providing access to the Pine Creek gold fields. There are a number of interesting historical sites in the township, including remnants of the original jetty. You can still find many pieces of old Chinese pottery and bottle fragments scattered about. Around 400 people live in Southport today, and the boat ramp is a very popular access point for fishers heading into Middle Arm and Darwin Harbour. Mud crabs, barramundi, golden snapper and mangrove jack are regularly caught in the Darwin and Blackmore Rivers, even from the boat ramp! Southport has a remedial masseuse and an art gallery. Within a few kilometres – at Darwin River and at Berry Springs - are the Territory Wildlife Park, pubs, shopping centres, a post office, medical centre, pharmacy, cafés and petrol stations. There is also easy access to Bynoe Harbour and Dundee. Southport is located 55 kms from Darwin City and 35 kms from Palmerston City; a perfect base to explore the Cox Peninsula or Litchfield region for a weekend!

Rammed earth cottage in quiet native bush environment. Cooled by natural air flow and fans, powered by stand-alone solar system. Set within 130 hectares of natural bushland yet only 5 km from Humpty Doo Shopping Centre. Open layout will suit couple, young family or a single traveller. Super comfortable king size bed and 2 singles, or cot if required. This is not a ritzy new cottage but it is clean and comfortable. If you prefer bush sounds to the noise of traffic and city, this will suit you.
Our bush is home to many native birds and animals, so for their protection, we don't keep pets. Please follow the map that we will provide rather than GPS guidance. You will travel on 1.5 km of unsealed road as you enter into our bushland.
Great location for both rural and city activities. 5 minutes drive from Humpty Doo shops; 35 minutes from Darwin; 20 min from N.T. Wildlife Park and Berry Springs Nature Park. Great for day trip to Litchfield Park, Edith Falls, Corroboree Lagoon, other wetlands and many fishing spots.

Self contained 1 bedroom cabin overlooking a natural bird filled Billabong. Set on the Historic Mt Bundy Station cattle property with adjoining tourist park facility. Right on the banks of the Adelaide River. Air conditioned and fanned for the tropics . Outdoor deck and BBQ area. Access to swimming pool , Outback Bar " The Cheeky Bull Bar " and pizza. Only 40min drive to Litchfield National Park and on the way south to Katherine and Kakadu National Park .
The Monsoon Cabin is set away from the hustle of our popular tourist resort. We are a working property with all the usual farm animals and activities of a farm. We do allow caravans and campers ...dry season is our busy time ...wet season is awesome and quiet.
Adelaide river township is only 3km drive away. we are only 110km from the city of Darwin but once you arrive you feel like you are in the outback. Actually we are right on the edge. Robin falls and Litchfield National Park are only a short drive. Lots of WWII history too in the vicinity. Only a 40 min drive to the famous Litchfield National Park for a dip in the water falls .

Very unique wilderness retreat house set on a private conservation estate of 320 acres with its own creek and permanent waterholes. The house is an elevated tropical design with 100% off grid solar power. Advice : Regular business is suspended 14/11/19 to March 2020 due to the wet season. Bookings for environmental special interests and intrepid travelers from afar are taken if accepting of seasonal constraints..
This is not your average house or your average place. The house is a comfortable house which was relocated from Darwin and renovated on site. It is set in fenced natural bush conservation block (approx 1.5km x 1km) and blends into the landscape. The house has a very small environmental footprint, it creates its own power from solar and its water from rain and a sustainable bore. The house itself was relocated intact, re-use and recycle! The solar power system provides enough energy to provide all ordinary needs and to air condition two bedrooms overnight as well as the living areas throughout the day and evening (if used as directed!). The creek on the property is an exciting place for birdwatchers and has many beautiful views. There are several permanent waterholes in the creek, up to 50 metres or so across. They are home to freshwater crocodiles and occasionally saltwater crocodiles, they are not for swimming! For the active, there are made tracks to help guide bushwalking, birdwatching and exploring. If you want to enjoy the nature in the comfort of aircon then that's OK too.
The neighborhood is what is generally called 'the outback', but there is a small shop, fuel and pub approx 5km away. The pub does good Aussie pub meals and lunches at a fair price. A good safe fishing spot is about 4 km away. We are near the Territory Wildlife Park and Berry Springs and about half way between Darwin and Wangi Falls in Litchfield National Park.
