The Steeple with it's 360 degree views to both coasts, in Steeple Nature Reserve is well worth a walk to. If you are looking for somewhere scenic that is a short stroll down the Cornish lanes to the town then this cottage is perfect for you. We provide towels- 2 bath towels and a hand towel- and kitchen essentials such as tea towels.
The Cottage is situated in the courtyard of Hendra Farm. There are 6 other cottages here, with 1 of them is a long let, 4 of them are holiday lets and my sister Kirsty lives in the last 1. It has a welcoming community feel, everybody is friendly and says hello whilst passing by.

Grazie ancora.

Put a log on the wood-burning stove and get cosy after a day exploring beautiful St Ives. With exposed stone walls and a beamed ceiling with skylight, this quaint Cornish cottage is a place to create a memorable holiday. Wake up to the sound of birds tweeting and breathe in the fresh Cornish air. The seating outside in the courtyard of this enchanting cottage offers a serene spot for an afternoon cup of tea.
The cottage is a lovely, cozy space that has a warm and homely feel to it, with the log burner, exposed wooden beams and underfloor heating. It is located just a 20 - 25 minute walk away from the heart of St.Ives. Surrounded by lush green fields and beautiful walks in every direction, it just may be the perfect getaway from civilisation. If your looking for some where that has a scenic, peaceful feel to it, with the knowledge that just down the road you can be back to the heart of town, then our cottage is perfect for you. We have taken care to make sure you have everything you need for the perfect Cornish retreat- from a fully equipped kitchen to handy local information. I have grown up on Hendra Farm. The Steeple and Steeple Woodlands Nature Reserve are just up the hill. Come back and relax in this zen space. Our cottage is situated in the courtyard of Hendra Farm, a short walk from St Ives surrounded by lush fields, woodlands, singing birds, and quiet Cornish lanes. There are six other cottages in the courtyard inhabited with friendly folk.

    Helen2018-07-11T00:00:00Z

Comunicazione eccellente in tutto

    Sarah2019-04-19T00:00:00Z

Our cottage is a cosy converted blacksmith's workshop in the ancient Cornish town of Marazion - home to St Michael's Mount & in Poldark country! One of the oldest properties in Marazion, the cottage is just off the main street and the SW coast path.
The Old Forge is a cosy converted granite blacksmith's forge in the beautiful Cornish seaside town of Marazion, with exposed stone walls, real wood flooring and a cast iron log burner (perfect for snuggling up in front of!) as well as a range of beautiful original features including the old blacksmith's shop front, deep window seats in the thick granite walls and even a lintel made from a reclaimed ship! It has a new, fully equipped and beautiful country kitchen with wooden worktops, an electric range cooker, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer and Smeg fridge-freezer, and a bathroom with a cast iron roll top bath with electric shower over. There is a farmhouse dining table and 4 chairs in the living room. The property has two bedrooms - a double and twin. The double room features an old exposed chimney breast and velux windows - perfect for stargazing on a warm summer evening. The twin room has a beautiful exposed granite wall and original wooden beam. Marazion is on the South West coast path with beautiful beaches (including a dog-friendly year-round beach) great for walking and bathing, and famous for windsurfing and kitesurfing. A 5 minute walk through the old main street of Marazion, the town centre features several fantastic pubs and restaurants, including the exceptional Ben's Cornish Kitchen (winner of the Cornwall Life Food & Drink Award 2014), the Godolphin Arms and a number of cosy pubs including The King's Arms (highly recommended for a Sunday roast), The Cutty Sark and The Fire Engine Inn. We are very happy to welcome guests with a well-behaved dog (or two!) however please bear in mind that the property does not have a garden (although there are several patches of grass and a playing field within a 30 second walk of the front door). We can also recommend some fabulous walks - all tried and tested by our labrador, Moo. We run an eco-conscious cottage so, as far as possible, everything provided in the cottage (where applicable) will be local, organic, environmentally-friendly and/or Fair Trade. We really love sharing our little cottage with other people and are very grateful for having such lovely guests who take good care of it during their stay. If anything does get damaged or broken during your stay please do let us know ASAP - we really don't mind (these things happen!) however we often have guests checking in the same day you check out and knowing in advance means that we can make sure items are fixed or replaced before our next guests arrive. Please note: There is no allocated parking provided however you will be able to park very close to the house on one of the adjoining, unrestricted roads. We are very close to the sea here so in the spring and summer it's not uncommon for the seagulls to start their morning chorus quite early! We've tried asking them to wake up a bit later however this doesn't appear to have worked as yet . . .

    Jake2019-01-01T00:00:00Z
I tramonti erano stupendi.

    Britta2014-06-21T00:00:00Z

"The cabin" is a log cabin, in an idyllic rural location, just a few yards from a small river, with stepping stones to a tree-lined public bridleway. It is very close to my own dwelling, but not intrusive, either way. It accommodates a maximum of 4 people. A cosy, but airy log cabin with one separate bedroom (1 single bed with another underneath it, to pull out if needed....but NB, this leaves no floor space ) a main room, open to the apex, with a 4' 6" double bed, a curtained area, offset to one side , with a single bed. The shower and toilet room is in an adjacent building (4 steps away) together with a separate kitchen/ dining room. Also soap and shampoo . There is a hair dryer in the cabin and a cooling fan can be provided if needed ( for those few tropical days/ nights...) There is a small washing line , solely for your use, right outside of the cabin. There is access to a washing machine and tumble dryer (for a small extra charge via an honesty box) Also there is access to a small freezer. Our front garden is solely for our own family use. I will happily help you with any questions or recommendations , but I am equally happy to completely respect your total privacy. Our neighbourhood is beautiful, peaceful and calm, with just a few passing dog walkers and horse riders throughout the day, along the bridleway. It is a hamlet of about 80 dwellings, with a small library, converted from a telephone box! I know if you choose to holiday here, you will be keen to maintain the peace and tranquility. There is parking just for you (1 space) close to the cabin. There are no buses in Lowertown, but there are buses from Helston town, to visit The Lizard Peninsular, Truro, Falmouth, Penzance and Lands End areas. There are train stations in Falmouth, Penzance, Camborne, Redruth and Truro, to take you further "up the line" Included in the price is electricity, water, linen, towels ( please bring your own beach towels) , basic kitchen cleaning equipment, tea, coffee, milk, condiments and of course toilet tissue. There is a hair dryer in the cabin and a cooling fan can be provided if needed ( for those few tropical days/ nights...) there is a travel iron and ironing board in the kitchen area. There is a mini oven with two hob plates, in the kitchen. ( NOT A MICROWAVE) Please note the approximate internal area of the log cabin ( so the sleeping area ) is 20 square metres .
I love the tranquility of the neighbourhood. You can just about hear the river winding through the woods, the buzzards calling to each other , the green woodpecker calling........very little else.

Ritornerei in qualsiasi momento. Consiglio vivamente la sua cabina. È piccolo e accogliente con molti dettagli.

    Marcell2019-04-15T00:00:00Z

Beautiful Praa Sands. Our view is spectacular and the Twin room looks out over a nine hole golf course and on out to sea. There is much in the West of Cornwall to explore. David and I would welcome you to our home to stay in this tranquil setting.
Take a look at the photos and you will know why we think our home is unique! The view is stunning. We have 2 rooms available. A spacious Twin room with sea view. A double with garden view. We are a relaxed happy couple, and you will enjoy the comfort we offer you.
Praa Sands is a small Cornish village. The beach is great for surfing and swimming. You can walk down the hill to it from our place. You'll pass Pengersick castle on the way down! It is supposed to be haunted!! The beautiful old St Germoe Church is close by too. It was built in the late eleven hundreds. I ring the bells there on a Sunday morning, and for many a wedding too!

On the Helford River sits Frenchman's Creek where Daphne du Maurier spent her honeymoon dreaming of the Cornish villages that set the scene for her novels.Helston was originally a thriving port until the river silted up over the years; where the river joins the sea is now Cornwall's largest freshwater lake. Helston is a busy market town with plenty of Victorian and Georgian architecture. The Monument is an impressive building at the end of Coinaghall Street which was built in 1834 in memory of Humphry Millet Grylls, whose actions kept open the local tin mine and saved 1200 jobs. Possibly one of the country's oldest privately owned brewery's can also be found in Coinaghall Street; The Blue Anchor was originally used as a rest house for monks and became a tavern in the 15th century. It now makes a strong local brew called Spingo. Helston is probably best known for the 'furry' or floral dance which is held every May. Flora Day kicks off with the Hal-an-Tow where St George and St Michael slay the dragon and the devil, cheered on by the locals dressed in Elizabethan costumes. The main dancing starts at midday with participants dressed in ball gowns and top hats and tails.

Praa Sands, Prussia Cove and Porthleven are a short drive away. A dog friendly holiday home in a rural location.
This is a beautiful stone cottage that looks like it has been part of the scenery for years but was, in fact, a derelict barn that had fallen into complete disarray until it was lovingly rebuilt by the owner. Both bedrooms are spacious with a master bedroom and family room and a truly luxurious bathroom with separate shower and bath.Trennal Barn is situated just outside the quiet hamlet of Godolphins Cross and is a couple of miles inland from some of the south coasts best beaches, Praa Sands is south facing, sandy and has lifeguard cover during the season, it can have quite large waves and is frequented by surfers when the conditions are right. There are comfortable sofas and chairs, a dining table, large flat screen TV and a wood burning stove. The nearest large supermarket is Morrisons towards Penzance. The extensive beach stretching from Rinsey Head to Hoe Point is extremely popular with the whole family, Prussia Cove, Perranuthnoe & Marazion are the nearest beaches, all within a few minutes drive. Just inland from the beach is Pengersick Castle which dates back to the Bronze Age. Nearby Helston is famous for its Floral Dance in May, a day when the whole town stops and dresses up for the days many dances through the streets. From Penzance you can take the Scillonian for a day trip to the picturesque Isles of Scilly, well worth a visit if you have never been. 10 minutes down the road lies Marazion famous for St Michaels Mount, home to a medieval castle and a working local community. St Michaels Mount is accessible by causeway at low tides, or by boat. The castle is leased from the National Trust by the St Aubyn family who reside at the property maintaining and working the grounds.Trennal Barn is only 1 mile from the beautiful beach and surf at Praa Sands and about the same distance from Rinsey's rocky cove (NT). We are 20 mins walk from 3 miles of stunning beaches and sand dunes overlooking St Ives Bay. The house is a recently renovated semi detached cottage with a lounge and kitchen diner downstairs. Upstairs consists of my room and a small but comfortable guest room and bathroom. The guest room has a double bed with a new mattress, TV and a chest of drawers. It overlooks the rear garden. The lounge has a log burner which is great for the winter. The bathroom is in immaculate condition.
Guests are free to use the lounge although this will be shared with my dog Ziggy and myself when I am home. The kitchen has a microwave, cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and dining table and also has access to the rear garden. Please ensure you treat the kitchen with respect clear up after yourselves and no cooking after 10pm. The bathroom is adjacent to the guest bedroom and has an electric shower, comfort height toilet and tall sink. Well behaved and socialised dogs over 3 years old. My dog is very well behaved. Please feed your dog in the kitchen not the bedroom. When first arriving please keep your dog on a short lead so that we can take them directly into the garden to get acquainted with Ziggy. There is a £20 surcharge per visit for dogs.
Hayle is situated on the opposite side of St. Ives Bay with a stunning stretch of three miles of beach and sand dunes running west from the estuary, which is an RSPB nature reserve and bird watchers paradise. Sandwiched between St. Ives and the Godrevy Heritage Coast with lots of easy to reach transport links, Hayle is a great spot to explore Cornwall from but there is also plenty to keep you occupied with in the town. The house is close to several supermarkets, shops, take aways, restaurants and pubs. The beach is a 20 minute walk away or 5 minutes by car. Where you can surf, swim or Kayak. It’s a beautiful beach which is huge when the the tide is out. You can see St Ives across the bay and there are lovely sand dunes which are part of the coastal path. Dogs are allowed on the beach at all times except for one area from between the 1st of May and 30th September when they are allowed between 6pm and 8am. There is a dog friendly beach at Porth Kidney which is about 5-10 minutes drive away in Lelant.

    Elisa2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Molto ospitale, cameretta, ottima cucina + giardino.

    Michael2019-08-04T00:00:00Z

Hayle is dominated by the spectacular 3 miles of golden sands that stretch north towards Gwithian Towans and Godrevy Lighthouse. A quite stunning beach that offers opportunities for sunbathing and surfing. When the wind is blowing, watch out for the windsurfers, particularly in the waves at the northern end of the beach. This is one of the best windsurfing spots in the country. Paradise Park is always popular with both adults and children with their fantastic collection of rare birds and animals. There is also a good indoor play area if the weather gets bad! St Ives, once a busy fishing village, now relies on tourism as its main industry. Turner came and painted a landscape in 1811 and art has played a part in St Ives history ever since. More recently Barbara Hepworth and the Tate Gallery have put St Ives on the modern map. The Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden is an amazing place to visit, and well worth it even if you're not a budding artist. Trewyn Studios where she lived and worked from 1939 until her tragic death in 1975 has been turned into a fantastic museum, depicting many of her favourite sculptures in the sub tropical garden, is now managed by the Tate. The Tate Gallery St Ives was built in 1993 on the former gas works site displaying various paintings, sculptures and ceramics. The castle is leased from the National Trust by the St Aubyn family who reside at the property maintaining and working the grounds. Penzance has a brilliant selection of supermarkets.

The airbed and bedding are available upon request, with a small additional charge applied, at point of booking. Outside of the annex is a small patio area, with a table and two chairs which is exclusively for use by guests of the annex.

At low tide you can walk to St Michaels Mount using the causeway or take the ferry at high water, stroll across the wide expanse of beach or even take a dip in the sea. I am perfectly situated for exploring the historic town of Penzance, the fishing port of Newlyn, seaside resort of St Ives, with Tate Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth museum, and the quaint village of Mousehole, here you can enjoy freshly cooked fish and chips sitting on the quay. Other local attractions include the spectacular open air theatre of The Minnack and Lands End, There are also many beautiful gardens and beaches to explore in the area.
Very quiet and peaceful all you will hear is the sea.....oh and the sea gulls!

    Karen2019-07-20T00:00:00Z

We offer a private double room in a family home located in a small village in west Cornwall. We are a 10 minute drive to Godrevy beach and a good base to explore the delights of west Cornwall from. The room is bright and airy in the mornings and freshly decorated in calm tones. The shared bathroom is also newly renovated with a twin ended bath with drencher shower over and underfloor heating. As we have a young toddler we cant guarantee a silent night, but he is a real character.
Our property is a modern semi detached family home with gas central heating and double glazing. Since purchasing the house we have been busy redecorating through out. So far the bedrooms and bathroom are now finished and we are now working on the sitting room and kitchen. Due to this we can't offer the sitting room and kitchen for use.
We live in a small village in West Cornwall. There is a small village shop and we are on a bus route. Although we would highly recommend only booking if you have your own car. Reawla is centrally located between Hayle, Camborne, Helston and Penzance. We would recommend using Hayle for amenities. Within a 10 minute drive is Hayle beach and Godreavy with three miles of golden sands running between the two beaches. There are plenty of lovely places to eat and drink. Especially in St Ives.
Parcheggio gratuito davanti a casa.

Consiglio vivamente a chiunque.

    Rachel2019-10-05T00:00:00Z

    Mike2019-09-09T00:00:00Z

Grazie!
