    Janet2019-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Ottimo tempo trascorso in cabina, spazio compatto e ben pensato, ci tornerei sicuramente! Tony è stato molto disponibile e accogliente all'arrivo. Grazie per il bel fine settimana

Spacious rooms in magnificent listed Georgian mansion - one of the most beautiful and oldest houses in Torquay. With up-to 5 rooms available it's ideal for families and groups of friends. Every room is large and bright. There's plenty of parking along with the peace and quiet of a secluded, totally private location.
On the 2nd floor are three double bedrooms, a huge sitting/dining room (with sofa bed), a shower room and a snug with microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. On the floor below there is a spectacular double with private modern shower/wet room and access to a shared bathroom. With sea views from both of the double bedrooms and the sitting room on the second floor, we think you'll find these one of the nicest AirBnBs you'll have stayed in. If you choose to book the 3 rooms on the 2nd floor then you will have exclusive use of the shower room, snug (with microwave, fridge kettle and toaster) and massive sitting room; it's basically a three bedroomed apartment accessed through the main house. If you are booking for 9 or 10 people please be aware that one/two of these will need to use the sofa bed in the 2nd floor sitting room (or we can add a single bed to one of the double bedrooms).
Ideally situated for the Riviera International Centre, International Agatha Christie Festival, Torquay beach, the Princess theatre and Torquay station - all are a short walk away. The Chelston part of Torquay is a leafy suburb with lots of fine Victorian villas and the seafront is but a 10 minute walk. Totally unique 3 storey section of grand mansion with large enclosed gardens Lots of original features Open fire in the sitting room 2 large flat screen TVs bedrooms spread over three floors for extra privacy ideal for families and couples off road parking spaces lots of local activities: golf courses, fishing, walking, seaside activities etc. AMAZING views Famous former residents; Vivien Leigh & Laurence Olivier. recently renovated with new heating system & roof. Decorated for Christmas Large garden Views Full use of section of house Original roll top bath Close to the sea and Dartmoor Quaint English seaside town Lots of excellent restaurants Traditional pubs Easy access to Exeter and Plymouth Excellent public transport; we have a mainline railway station less than 1/2 mile down the road and there are also excellent bus links. Passenger ferry across to the fishing village of Shaldon (the oldest ferry route in the British Isles). MINIMUM OF 3 NIGHT STAY. All damage must be paid for. Any extra cleaning charges will also be taken from deposit. Double doors lead out to a fenced off area of a large garden. Lots of local shops in Teignmouth town along with pubs and restaurants and takeaways. There is a Waitrose supermarket in town and about 1 mile away is a Morrisons supermarket. Mainline train station is a five minute walk away from the property and there are lots of different bus routes from town that take you to Exeter, Plymouth and Dartmoor. The previous owners of this house had massively neglected it and let it fall into a terrible state of disrepair - it was pretty much derelict when we bought it. It had no staircase, water, electricity or gas supply. The roof let in approximately 40 litres of water every time it rained and the windows were all rotten. Over the last 9 years we have lovingly restored it - replaced the rotten windows; had a new roof (and insulation!) fitted, a new heating system has been installed and we have tastefully decorated with colours representative of the era it was built. We've given the house a little bit of dignity back. It's an on going project though so please take into consideration it's not a modern, double glazed property and you might feel a draught here and there!
We're a five minute walk from the beach and the town centre; as we're located on the top of a hill, we have the most magnificent views out to sea, estuary and the moors. It's an idyllic location and a beautiful house.

Quiet room in a friendly house. Setup as a Single or twin. Ideal for student nurses and doctors at Torbay District Hospital. It is close enough to walk to the hospital as parking is limited in the surrounding streets. We like accommodating students especially those wanting a recurring mid week booking or for short stays. Also we offer some discount on longer stay to hospital staff. We are a clean quiet household as one party works shifts, we have two outdoor Rabbits that live in the back garden.
Our attic is a quiet and spacious room, made as a cosy single or twin for guests. It has great light from the Velux window with a sky view. The beds are super comfy, there is a table and chairs. In the room is a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The room is situated upstairs away from other bedrooms all downstairs.
There is a sea peep from a veranda in the garden and certainly from the driveway you can view the Torquay harbour and Big wheel in season. We have shops less than 5 mins walk and a very good Fish and Chips shop.
Grazie molto

  • Buona posizione e servizi eccellenti. Check-in e check-out facili.

  • Consiglio vivamente. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, wifi veloce, ottima posizione.

    Adam2019-08-04T00:00:00Z

The Brampton is a victorian guesthouse well placed in the busy holiday town of Paignton. 5 minutes walk to the town centre, beach, bus and train stations and the seafront prominade. Currently we are offering room only with many cafes and public houses in the surrounding streets you can choose when and where to eat, excellent value. Tea and coffee facilities are in each room with complimentry bottled water and biscuits. A great base to explore Devon from.
This is our standard single room with a shared bathroom. We have single and double rooms, some ensuite and a family room which sleeps 4 with bunkbeds. Stunning views of the bay with the ever changing sea. Private access from your room to the terrace. About 5 minutes walk to the centre of town, or the beach which you can see from the property. Quiet area with free on street parking. Smokers welcome. The landlady is a smoker.

Torre Abbey and The Riviera centre with its swimming pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi are also close by. The Princess Theatre has a good variety of shows.
