Dove soggiornare a Aberdyfi
3-storey spacious house, full of light, with direct access to the 5-mile wide beach of Borth, 5 miles north of Aberystwyth. Great location in the centre of the village, it sleeps 11 people in 5 bedrooms, plus cot. Ideal for relaxed get-togethers.
Facing onto the beach, it's a constant battle with the elements - sea and driving rain have a mind of their own - but our oil-fired boiler, wood-burning stove and/or free-standing heating appliances make it warm and comfortable all year round, whatever the weather. Don't expect the Ritz and you will love it! But then it's Borth, isn't it?
Borth sports a family-friendly surfing beach as well as a petrified forest at low tide, well-stocked convenience stores, a butcher, a surgery, a playground, great bric-a-brac shop and art and craft shops, an “animalarium”, a golf-course, and superb walks across the Cors Fochno (the Borth bog) to the hills behind. Rockpools are 10 minutes walk below the headland at the south of the village; the sand dunes at Ynyslas are a short car-ride or a beautiful walk along the sandy beach towards the Dovey estuary. The coastal walk to Aberystwyth along the cliffs is about 2-3 hours. There are car boot sales at nearby Clarach Bay or Tre'r'dol alternate Sundays during the summer. A variety of cafes and restaurants are open all year round, and three of the four pubs serve food, but when you're watching the sun going down across the sea, you may want to stray no further than the kitchen...

This 2 bedroom apartment is right in the heart of Aberdovey. It has fantastic sea views and is immediately opposite the beach. It is beautifully decorated and well equipped, with convenient parking nearby. All the ingredients for a fantastic holiday!
The apartment is on the second floor of a four-storey building. There is an open plan sitting/dining room and kitchen, with a large bay window looking across the beach and estuary. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a washing machine with dryer. The first bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has bunk beds (full size so suitable for adults or children). In the bathroom, there is a bath with a shower and a heated towel rail. The apartment is well equipped for small people. There is a travel cot, a highchair and a hand blender.
Aberdovey is a gorgeous town. The highlight is, of course, the beach - four miles of beautiful sand, backed by sand dunes and an eighteen-hole links golf course. There is plenty to do around the town. For the active visitor, there is an impressive range of activities - putting green, tennis courts, crab fishing, walks, kite flying, playground/swings, tennis, bowls, golf, sailing and loads more. Aberdovey is also a lovely place to potter around, with a range of beautiful shops (clothes, gifts, artwork), nice coffee shops, pubs, butcher, convenience store, deli etc. Further afield, there are great day trips. One of our favourite ‘days out’ is to walk along the beach to Tywyn (takes about an hour and a half), where there is a lovely café for lunch. You can then walk or get the train back. Other day trips include the Dolgoch Falls, Talyllyn Railway, the Centre for Alternative Technology, the Bearded Lake and plenty more.

  • Terza volta qui e eccezionale come sempre.

  • Molto soddisfatto dell'alloggio.

Set on Aberdovey seafront with wonderful sea and mountain views. The sandy beach is just opposite and shops and restaurants just a short stroll away. The Superking (6ft) double bed and en- suite shower room at the rear.

They are often rented together for friend or family gatherings allowing you your own space but being in the same building. We can accommodate 10 people when all 4 are booked together. All have full kitchens with cooker, hob, microwave, fridge and nespresso machine. All pans, utensils and crockery are provided. Washing up liquid, cleaning spray, tea towel and cloths too. We leave milk, sugar, tea and coffee to start you off. All our beds are Superking doubles or can be made up as a twin. In the shower room you will find shampoo/body wash and liquid soap. Aberdovey (or Aberdyfi in Welsh), is a popular, pretty seaside village on the southern edge of The Snowdonia National Park. There are little independent shops, cafes and ice cream parlours just along the street from us. Crabbing on the jetty, swimming in the sea and walking the mountains behind are popular activities. There is always something happening on the water during the summer. There is a championship golf course in the village too.

Set in an idyllic position with glorious views over the estuary and out to sea, Seaview Cottage is the perfect 'getaway from it all' location - yet is only a few minutes' walk down the romantically named Love Lane to Aberdyfi beach, pubs, restaurants and shops. Enjoy the views from both the house and garden, part of which is enclosed. Seaview has an upstairs bathroom plus a downstairs loo with ample room for storage of equipment such as pushchairs and bicycles. With onsite parking for 2 cars.
It is very unusual in Aberdovey to have views, a garden and onsite parking but Seaview Cottage has all three! Set on the public footpath and away from all public roads, it is incredibly peaceful here - the perfect place to unwind. Come and see -there really is no place like it!

This is our lovely eco garden cabin, very quiet, with its own compost toilet and outside shower, a few minutes walk to the beach, cafes, pubs and shops. It is ideally suited for a couple but there is an additional day bed if you wanted a twin or 3rd person. The cabin is attached to a greenhouse, and there are hens in the garden. The property is down a narrow lane and vehicle access is difficult so we request that you park nearby and walk the short distance. Sorry no dogs!

Located in the stunning and remote 'Artists Valley' (with Beavers) this charming Self Contained Space is in a 75 acre conservation and permaculture site. With unparalleled views, an ideal base for walking, enjoying nature and rural family retreats.
This cosy Cottage is centrally heated with radiators which are on constantly (please let us know if you are too warm!), is well insulated and gets lovely and homely. There is also a heater in the bathroom :) Upstairs, there is a very large bedroom than can sleep up to 5 (very good!) friends or a young family but is better suited to couples. In the bedroom there is a hand basin with hot running water, a wardrobe and chest of drawers for you to use. The double bed has an electric blanket and there is a TV (which you can chose to completely ignore!) with freesat channels and a DVD player. Wifi is available in the beautiful Breakfast Room next door - and there is an (moody!) ethernet connection upstairs in the Cottage itself (please bring a laptop with an Ethernet port) but there is a good Wifi signal in both the Gazebo and the Breakfast room. Our connection here at the end of the Valley can on occasion, be temperamental - so just in case, best not to rely on it for life and death situations... but it is normally more than adequate to check emails, download films and make internet video calls. We hope that you will be so busy enjoying the stunning natural landscape that you may forget the internet - just for a moment xxx ;) There is no washing machine in the Cottage, but for those on longer stays (5 days or more), please ask at the main house, and we would be happy to help - £10 for a service wash and dry x The double bed is made up with fresh linens for each stay and extra blankets are supplied in abundance. Linens and towels will be changed once a week for folk on longer stays. If you require additional bedding, sheets and pillowcases etc (for larger groups using the extra sofa bed etc.), we are happy to do so (although they will most likely not match at all!) for a laundry fee of £6 per person. Although there is no open fire in Narnia itself, directly opposite the South facing door is a stunning octagonal glass Gazebo, with a comfy sofa and wood- burning stove - you would have sole use of the Gazebo when you book Narnia! 10 metres from your door, it is a gorgeous space to sit and read, do your emails, share bottle of wine, muse over a jigsaw, knit something or chat indoors.... but outdoors at the same time ;) ...................and it really does get toasty in there in winter with the fire going! - we can provide you with some nice dry wood - please ask for details. It is an amazing place to be in crazy weather! - right in the middle of it, yet warm and dry all at once :) Please note that although the Gazebo is lovely, it is an outdoor structure and the floor can get damp after heavy rain (but the sofa stays dry!) and although we do suck up spider webs regularly, there will always be a few :) The Gazebo is supplied with some dry firewood but we charge £10 per barrow load if you need more. In addition to exploring the whole Permaculture and Conservation site, you would also be able to make the most of our new 'Breakfast Room' - a 10 metre Conservatory with glass on 3 sides, tables and chairs to sit at and comfy sofas at the other end. This gorgeous space is for use by everyone at Blaeneinion and is perfect to relax in or check emails on wetter days - please see the photos :) There are lots of plants, a stereo system, some childrens toys (wooden train set has been a big hit!) jigsaws, a piano and a growing and eclectic mixture of books to enjoy. It is a great spot to enjoy looking out at the stars in the evening or enjoying a glass of wine after a long days walking and exploring :) The breakfast room is super-hot on Summer days and comfortably warmed by even the merest sunshine even in Winter.... the stone wall internally retains heat like a big storage heater well into the evenings. Please ask if you would like eggs or fresh produce produced on site (chickens lay much less in Winter though x) For young families -please let us know if need to borrow our travel cot :) Please note that the £7 per night surcharge for extra guests also applies however small the people are, so BABIES AND TODDLERS ARE COUNTED AS AN EXTRA GUEST. Over the past few years we have found that families with young children tend to use more heating and hot water, need travel cots and often more cleaning x We love hosting children so have remarkable facilities for young families - toys, instruments and games, super gentle and friendly animals, a fire pit for toasting marshmallows, kayaks and food that can be foraged on site! ... to make all this possible and enable inspiring and memorable family holidays, all we ask is a small surcharge of £7 per night per person to cover costs. PLEASE ENTER 'INFANTS' as 'CHILDREN OVER 2' in the booking process to make sure it all goes through correctly (I am in an ongoing discussion with Airbnb about all this) It is uncomfortable for us and for you if I to have to ask guests for a surcharge for their little one after a booking request is made :0( Lets all continue making this place special for folk of all ages!
Our neighbourhood is very quiet, secluded and tranquil. The air is clean, you can see the stars and we never hear sirens!

It’s just a stone’s throw from the gorgeous Borth beach and the village is ideal for summer fun and bracing beach walks. Borth has plenty of activities to keep you occupied including some fantastic village pubs, beaches, amusements and cafes, we even a zoo and a cinema in the village!
We’re offering the first floor apartment of a beautiful traditional fisherman’s cottage, partly rebuilt and extended in 1890’s it retains much of the original stone work & beams. Situated on Borth High Street we’re just a stones throw away from the beach! The space can sleep up to 7 in total, it has 2 main bedrooms, with a double bed, a king size bed, and a small sofa bed in the spacious main bedroom we also have an additional attic space/third bedroom with an additional double bed, it's a lovely space. This is a full size low level double bed although the ceiling height is low .This is a beautiful and charming apartment that won’t disappoint.
We’re lucky to have fantastic pubs in the village so try the Railway pub if you’re after a good laugh (that’s just 5 minutes’ walk away) or perhaps The Friendship, if you’re looking for something a bit quirky (that’s just 10mins walk away). Just opposite there you have The Vic if you enjoy a beach view! We have a village zoo (Borth Animal Kingdom) just 15mins walk away which is a great day out and the beautiful local village cinema, Libanus 1877, a must visit during your stay! I’m sure you’ll want some fish & chips by the seaside, so I’d recommend a trip to the fantastic Acorn chippie which is almost next door and we also have a fantastic Indian that is literally next door! Borth is a great base to see much of Wales, not only do we have the gorgeous sand dunes of Ynyslas just a 10min drive away but you can hike the coastal paths to get to the fantastic University town of Aberystwyth which has plenty to offer in terms of activities, restaurants and nights out. We are situated on a working farm a mile from the beautiful seaside village of Aberdyfi in the Snowdonia National Park. Great location for cycling, running, walking or just plain and simply chilling to the sound of the sea, birds and sheep. Aberdyfi is a very beautiful but busy seaside village with 4 miles of sandy beach to enjoy. The caravan is definately in a location where the mountain meets the sea with nothing to obscure the view, and no wifi to distract, a great place to rest and escape.
We do not have wifi or mobile signal, a real escape from modern day life. Please note that we do NOT provide towels either. Beds will be made up ready for the number of guests booked. Dogs are welcome.
We are very fortunate to be in the most southerly point of the Snowdonia National Park with its amazing landscape, great walks, beautiful mountains including Cader Idris and the Arans are within easy reach, mountain bike centres including Coed y Brenin, ClimachX and Nant yr Arian are a short drive away. Aberdyfi's famous 18hole Golf Course is 3/4 of a mile away, you can in fact see it from the lounge window.

Ci torneremo sicuramente, speriamo presto.

Aberdyfi is a village and community on the north side of the estuary of the River Dyfi in Gwynedd, on the west coast of Wales. The village was founded around the harbour and shipbuilding industry, but is now best known as a seaside resort with a high quality beach. The centre is on the river and seafront, around the original harbour, jetty and beach but it stretches back from the coast and up the steep hillside in the midst of typical Welsh coastal scenery of steep green hills and sheep farms.

I live in the sunny sea side village of Borth. I have only recently purchased the house and it had been neglected for many years. I have recently finished painting. There is still much to do. This is a new venture here, so I am grateful for or any feedback from guests. I am in work during the week and often out during the day on the weekends. I am happy to have as much or as little interaction with guests as they wish. I am vegetarian and would apriciate no meat in the house.
Borth is a lovely little sea side village. It has a blue flag beach, 2 small convinience shops, 3 pubs and a few cafes. One of the best in my opinion is Uncle Alberts, it has gluten free and vegan food, It is simply delicious! There are lots of walks near by and a long stretch of beautiful beach. It's only a few miles from the university town of Aberystwyth. There is a regular bus and train service here. I have only recently purchased the house and it had been neglected for many years. I have recently finished painting and decorating. There is still much to do. This is a new venture here, so I am grateful for or any feedback.
It's a quiet, relaxed and friendly neighbourhood. The Friendship pub, Tbe Victoria inn and The Railway have various evenings with music and food. There are sevral cafes, and as I mentioned previously my favourite is Uncle Alberts as it serves delicious food and has gluten free and vegan options.

Beautiful, remote, unique and very very basic. Its on a working farm with dogs, sheep, amazing views, woods to roam in and a fire to gather around. Its for hardy, outdoorsy types with a sense of humour and a love of the countryside. Its a basic place to stay so expect no frills. Its been in the family for years. We have found that you either fall in love with it, or you don't get it. This is very much a trial 3 months for us hence setting low expectations and the low rate. Near Aberdovey
Stone floors, old school bunk beds and decent double beds. No sheets (yet) so bring sleeping bags and pillows. Industrial arga in the kitchen, wood burning stove in the front room and a bathroom that does the job. No shower, and a functional bath. Running water, but not drinkable unless boiled - comes from a spring. Functional mini fridge, but nothing else in the kitchen. You would need to bring camping style supplies for cooking and eating.
It is in the most stunning location. You have a 20 min drive to Aberdovey which is lovely beach side small town, and you are 20 minutes from Machynelleth which has all the shops and supplies you need. The walks in the area are endless, but you can't go wrong with a walk up to the bearded lake and over to Aberdovey. Don’t miss the https://machcomedyfest.co.uk/ at the start of May. Perfect place for a group if you to stay. 10 quid to get in to town for the festival.

Located in the stunning and remote 'Artists Valley' (with Beavers!) this charming Self Contained House is in a 75 acre conservation and permaculture site. With unparalleled views, an ideal base for walking, enjoying nature and rural family retreats.
An hours walk to the nearest road, this place is for honest folk who are looking for a simple rural retreat. The Cottage is not glamorous - a simple cowshed conversion done in the 80's - and updated as much as we can manage right now, but warm, cosy and equipped with everything you should need! Ideal as well for riding groups who can stay overnight and keep horses in the field. From beach to us it is a gorgeous days ride! 'Lavender Cottage' is a modern conversion of the original outbuildings, so is stone on the outside but nicely decorated, more modern and well insulated inside. Although simply furnished, (we are running a conservation project that is subsidised by the Cottages - so we are mostly skint!) it has new glazing and carpets and is easy to heat. It is a fully self-contained Cottage with an open plan kitchen/diner and lounge and has a small bathroom downstairs and has 2 large double bedrooms above. The Cottage adjoins the main buildings on one side and faces South looking out onto the bird enclosure and Valley beyond. Anyone who may have problems with a cockerel 'going off' in the morning - consider yourself warned ;) The kitchen is bright, clean and homely with an electric cooker, new fridge, a washing machine and a separate older freezer under the stairs. You also have a microwave, toaster, tea towels and kettle etc... Clothes will dry well on the radiators, but if you need to use a tumble-dryer for soggy emergencies, please ask me at the main house :) We have stocked the kitchen with all the cooking utensils and crockery that you should need (please let us know if anything is missing:) and we are building up a 'rolling stock' of core cooking condiments, oil, tea and spices so that guests should only need to bring their main ingredients with them and should be all set! The little bathroom has a new shower (not a 'power shower' as we are half way up a mountain and our water is gravity fed from spring!) but no bath tub :( - hopefully, that will not bother too many people x Towels and toilet tissue are supplied. The circular dining table will seat 4 people if you choose to eat indoors.... otherwise, why not try a BBQ over the fire pit next to the stream or sit on the patio?! The open plan lounge has a 3 seater sofa and two comfy armchairs - ideal for a family or group of friends to relax at the end of a days exploring! There is a TV (connected to a 'Freesat' box) which receives the main 'Freeview' channels and a DVD player. An eclectic selection of DVDs is in the Cottage (for adults and children)... or bring some from home? x Upstairs, there is one VERY large double room (facing South) with a Kingsize bed and a smaller child's bed. The mattress is brand new and very comfy! The second double room has a gorgeous old-fashioned but smaller double bed and one single bed. The sleeping arrangements would be suitable for two couples, a group of friends or a family with children, and are pretty flexible too if things need moving around a bit. For young families -please let us know if need to borrow our travel cot :) Please note that the £7 per night surcharge for extra guests also applies however small the people are, so BABIES AND TODDLERS ARE COUNTED AS AN EXTRA GUEST. PLEASE ENTER 'INFANTS' as 'CHILREN OVER 2' in the booking process to make sure it all goes through correctly (I am in an ongoing discussion with Airbnb about all this) It is uncomfortable for us and for you if I to have to ask guests for a surcharge for their little one after a booking request is made :0( Lets all continue making this place special for folk of all ages! The central heating works very well and runs on LPG (Liquid Gas) in cannisters - you can switch the heating on and off as you prefer. The electricity supply runs on an (ancient!) coin meter ('old' 1£'s!).... as it used to be a rental property - we have good supply we can swap for new ones! Usually, £2 per day should be ample unless you have the cooker on constantly or a very serious tea habit ;) x Although there is little Wifi in Lavender Cottage right now, there is however, a good signal in the new Breakfast Room and WiFi all around site. Our connection here at the end of the Valley can on occasion, be temperamental - so just in case, best not to rely on it for life and death situations... but it is normally more than adequate to check emails, download films and make internet video calls. In addition to exploring the whole Permaculture and Conservation site, you would also be able to make the most of our new 'Breakfast Room' - a 10 metre Conservatory with glass on 3 sides, tables and chairs to sit at and comfy sofas at the other end. This gorgeous space is for use by everyone at Blaeneinion and is perfect to relax in or check emails on wetter days - please see the photos :) There are lots of plants, a piano, a stereo system, some childrens toys (wooden Brio train set has been very popular!) jigsaws and a growing and eclectic mixture of books to enjoy. It is a great spot to enjoy looking out at the stars in the evening or enjoying a glass of wine after a long days walking and exploring :) The breakfast room gets super-hot on Summer days and comfortably warmed too by even the merest sunshine even in Winter.... the stone wall internally retains heat like a big storage heater well into the evenings. There are delicious home-made jams for sale in the Breakfast room, and please ask if you would like eggs, jams or fresh veggies produced on site. (Please note that 2017 has been tricky - so much less around this season :( ) x We encourage folk to minimise car use - and are very happy to provide a taxi service to and from the station at Machynlleth within reasonable hours for £10 if you need it. Please get in touch if this is of interest. Also an apology that we cannot accept pets on site - we love animals and have lost both poultry and wild birds and animals from dog attacks. Even the most well-behaved dogs leave a strong scent which deters the wild animals from coming near the house... and although we know it's not their fault, we just have to be strict on this issue. We hope you can understand.
Our neighbourhood is very quiet, secluded and tranquil. The air is clean, you can see the stars and we never hear sirens!

Grazie a tutti!
