Enjoy our holiday cottage on the edge of the Lake District. Many lakes, fells and beaches are easily drivable. Birkrigg common isn’t far and gives lovely views. The pub’s a 5-minute walk away and serves food most evenings There are buses to both Barrow and Ulverston and beyond at the end of the road. Ulverston is famous for its many festivals which attract lots of tourists. Barrow is only a 10-minute drive away for shops or if you want to go a little further Walney nature reserves are lovely.

Very peaceful here no road noise lots of bird song, cosy up and enjoy the panoramic view. Very close to town centre it has own entrance with a key safe, so arrival time can be totally flexible, and there is private parking. We use a Professional cleaning service to ensure the place sparkles. Much better than a hotel room!

With local bus and train services close by it makes a perfect base to explore the Lakes and surrounding areas.

Our home is close to both the Lakes and the sea, situated in the centre of the vibrant market town of Ulverston which is packed with a good variety of restaurants and non chain bars. The cottage was built in 1890 and is located in the heart of the town. The house has good kitchen stocked with all the basics, from herbs, condiments and even the odd tin of baked beans, so if you fancy cooking, you can!. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, friends and business travellers.

Surrounded by fields & 500 metres from the centre of the historic market town of Ulverston. It is situated 10 minutes from the start of the Cumbria Way walk.

Fresh farm eggs available from our 16 happy, free range hens.
