Wonderful district, centrally located from major attraction on the Hilo side, this is a great locaton to stay and venture out to see all that this side of the Island has to offer; amazing waterfalls, Hawaii Volcano National Park, Beach Parks, Botanical Gardens, Black and Green Sand Beaches, Historic sites, Imaloa Center, Hilo Rain forest Zoo, etc. You'll need a full week (at the very least) to see, experience and enjoy all that Hilo has to offer!
The house ( lanai, kitchen) and the property. If there's anything in the garden growing, you're welcome to it too.
Interazione con gli ospiti
As little or as much as you prefer. I enjoy my interaction with my guests but do understand and respect their need for privacy as well. I'm busy with my full time job as a pediatric/surgical nurse at our local hospital but makes myself available for my guests. My partner Juan is around when I'm not so we work it out where one of us is always available for our guests should they need anything.
Altre cose da evidenziare
I do have two other dwellings on the property, a small 2 bedroom cottage and a studio but everybody has their ample space and nobody bothers any body else. Sometimes the guests themselves enjoy their own interactions with other guests on property but this is a very small operation and we keep it family friendly.
This is not a party house, I do have two other rooms at the other side of the house that I rent out as well and expect courtesy and consideration of others and toward others.
I moved to the Big Island in 1993 from Guam and had remained mesmerized by its natural beauty and loved the laid back lifestyle it provides. I'm originally from the Micronesian Island of Yap, known for its pristine water, manta ray dives and its colorful and spirited bamboo war dance performed by bare chested natives in lion clothes and grass skirts.
I embrace cultural diversity and truly enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. I take pride in my house and the service that I provide my guests. I value my precious 'free' time by sneaking in sporadic reading here and there and enjoying the outdoors; camping, hiking, swimming and gardening, but most of all, I love traveling and looking forward to seeing a lot more of this amazing world we live in and experience different cultures along the way.
Always striving for a balanced lifestyle: healthy living via heath conscious cooking, keeping physically active, and inner peace and serenity. I look forward to meeting you and I'm excited to host another amazing adventurous soul seeking to experience Hawaii!
P/s.. The profile picture is of me and my daughter during her holiday visit home from Boston where she's attending Harvard Law school ... Yes, I'm one proud mama, especially since she may be the only Micronesian at Harvard thus far.)
