Loch Long is one of the longest sea lochs in the UK and apart from seeing some lovely yachts and larger vessels sailing past, we enjoy watching a variety of sea life, including seals, dolphins, otters, the occasional whale plus a wide variety of birds, and a lovely pair of swans returning to the beach once or twice a year who we've named Bertie and Betty!! The surrounding mountains are home to herds of deer who at certain times of the year can be heard roaring, with the occasional sighting on the beach and in the village! Foxes and feral cats are also frequently seen.
We have a swing mooring (free of charge) in front of the apartment for any guests wishing to visit with their boat.
There is ample parking available, and the beach in front of our property is available for guests to access when the tide is out to walk or fish.

My husband and I moved to this idyllic location on the shore of Loch Long, Argyll & Bute, Scotland in Dec 2009. We are both retired....myself as an Occupational Health Adviser working for British Airways at Gatwick Airport, and my husband as a Health, Safety & Environmental Adviser for Emcor at Heathrow Airport. We enjoy the serenity of where we live, walking around the surrounding mountains, seeing an array of yachts and other boats sailing past and watching a wide range of sea and bird life...we even had the pleasure of seeing a bottlenose whale having a wee cheeky look at us whilst out on our deck in 2013!!
