Stay with me in the VERY center of Barcelona at a cozy room with a comfortable double bed at an unbeatable location, steps away from Placa de Catalunya and the best BCN has to offer. :) Welcome to the Gótico!

You'll be staying at a private room in a recently-renovated 100 m2, 3-bedroom apartment.

Your room has a minimalistic design with a foldable wall-mounted table where you can work or even sit down for a meal. To set the mood, you have a remote-controlled LED lamp that you can use to change the lighting to the color that best suits your mood, or you can simply use the rotating function to have colors constantly change (and with them the room walls).

I live here myself and will be available to help you make the most of your stay in the city. The building has an elevator.

The bathroom is shared with me and a maximum of 2 other people and is constantly cleaned every day.

Feel at home! You can use the open kitchen/living room to prepare meals and drinks, just please clean up after yourself. You have access to the Wi-Fi and can use cable at the living room if you need a really fast connection (200mb of both download and upload).

I love meeting new people and have been hosting travelers since 2008, but if you'd rather keep to yourself, that's fully understandable. I'll be around if you need me. :)

You'll be staying at the start of the Gothic Quarter, the very heart of old Barcelona and only a 3 minute walk from the center of the city, Placa Catalunya. The location could not be any better, since it's at the VERY center while still managing to avoid the noise and craziness of the neighbouring streets (being in a small side street located just before the madness starts.) Highlights include:

1. Placa Catalunya, the center of the city from which you can go anywhere in Barcelona and Catalunya, is a 3 minute walk from my place. This means that your commute from the airport bus will be just that, 3 minutes, and you'll be at your room in around 5.

2. The famous La Rambla street is around a 2 minute walk away.

3. The shopping street of Portal de L'Ángel is literally around the corner, a 15-second walk from our place.

4. The Cathedral of Santa Eulàlia, is 2 minutes away. The Picasso museum is around 8 minutes away, and Gaudi's Casa Batlló is around 10. It also takes 10 minutes to make it to the port, and a 15-20 minutes walk will see admiring the Barceloneta beach.

5. You're at the center of everything but you still manage to avoid the noise, since it's a small street between Portal de L'Angel and Via Laietana.

With a labyrinthine street plan and many small streets opening out into squares, this neighbourhood is arguably the most picturesque in Barcelona and is the perfect location to explore the best of what this city has to offer. Most of the quarter is closed to regular traffic, though still open to service vehicles and taxis. Not that you'll need them: The only method of transportation you'll need is your feet.

It doesn't get more convenient than this. My place is only a 2-3 minute walk away from the absolute heart of the city, Placa de Catalunya, the very center and where all metro lines and trains/buses meet. The perfect place to explore Barcelona and all of Catalunya.

The very convenient airport bus stops at Placa de Catalunya, so you'll be in your room within 5 minutes. :) But you also have the option to take the public bus or the metro if you prefer.

The most visited street in Barcelona (La Rambla) is 2 minutes away, and the infamous Passeig de Gracia is a 5 minute walk away (you can be at Gaudi's Casa Batllo in 10.) The port is around 10 minutes away, and in 15-20 you can be laying at the beach.

And that's all on foot. Public transportation is right nearby and taking a taxi to most places won't cost much (after all, you're at the very center!)

Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia is a 10-minute taxi ride away (or 20 by public transportation).

Like I said, it really doesn't get more conveniente than this.

Check out time is around 11:00.

Check in time is after 14:00.

If you are going to leave your luggage in the apartment after check out, please remember that you are responsible for returning back the keys. They cost 50 euro to replace, so please make sure to be careful.

- Please make sure you let me know your arrival time as much in advance as possible before you make it here. This is very important because I obviously might be out if we haven't agreed on a time. If you fail to communicate your arrival plans at least 24 hours before your arrival, your reservation might be cancelled (since I can't be home all day not knowing when you might or might not arrive.) There is also a late check in fee of 25 euros for check ins after 21:00, and 40 euros from 23:00 to 2:00. Check-ins after 2:00 are normally not possible, please ask me if it is before you book.

- If you are over an hour late for your check in, there is a 25 euro rescheduling fee.

- If you discover you are going to arrive later than you thought, please inform me as soon as you can, since I might not always be available to wait.

- Smoking is never permitted inside the apartment.

- You are welcome here if you are clean, respectful, friendly, easy going and quiet.

- This is not the place for you if you are in the city to party every night or be loud.

I mostly ask for common sense and friendliness. :) This is a residential building that's shared with me and others, not everything goes and one has to be mindful of the space and other residents of the apartment and building. Things to be aware of are the following:

- Please do not ring the neighbour's door bell under any circumstances. My door bell will be given to you after you book and I'll even give you the Wi-Fi information, which can be accessed from outside the building. If I'm not home for any reason, you can always use the Wi-Fi to send me a message or call me.

- Please be respectful with the neighbours and treat the place well. :) I expect cleanliness and and friendliness from my guests, since I live here and we'll be sharing the apartment. Loud noises are never allowed in the building and guests need to be mindful of the neighbours.

- I'm all for people enjoying their time and I'll do my best to help make your stay here enjoyable, but if you're in Barcelona to get drunk, be loud and lose control, please refrain from booking here. This would not be a good place for you, we'd both be uncomfortable, and your reservation would be void immediately if you're noisy and you'd be told to leave without any refund, since you'd be breaking the house rules. There are other options in town more suited to your needs. :)

- You are responsible for returning back the keys. They cost 50 euro to replace, so please make sure to be careful.

- Smoking is never permitted inside the apartment or in the patio.

- Noise must be kept to a minimum, and silence is expected at night/early in the morning to respect the sleep of others. I have a no-noise policy from 21:30 to 09:30. Guests are required to be quiet during those times to respect the sleep of others—that includes being very mindful of how you open and close doors, making sure no noise is made when walking around the house, not showering or using hair dryers, and not speaking loudly. This is necessary to ensure that I can trust my guests to respect my space, my other guests and my neighbours.

- Your reservation would be immediately terminated if the house rules are not respected.

Thank you in advance for understanding why I need to write this fine print and for respecting my place and neighbours! :)

I'm a well-travelled, well-mannered 27-year-old living in beautiful Barcelona. I've had the fortune to live in different continents, learn a few languages and meet people from around the world, so this is not new to me. I've also used Airbnb as a guest many times during my travels, and I know both sides of the story.

My passions include design, photography and marketing.

I can't wait to meet you!
