Perfect spot if you love to surf! We don't surf, but even then it was great to have a spot right on the water with lots of surfers to see. You can't beat the location! Super close to Sharks Cove for snorkeling which was awesome, the guys at the north shore surf shop across the street were great for rentals. And all the food trucks across the street? SO good!! Get fish tacos from the taco truck and don't miss out on the Thai food truck just behind. I am a runner, so I loved that I could leave the house and run the paved bike path up to sharks cove (exactly 2 miles) and turn around to run the way back and go straight to the beach. The best part for me was having coffee and pineapple every single day on the back deck on the bar stools with my laptop and the surfers and palm trees in the background. We saw whales spouting from the beach, and a sea turtle surface and hang out along the shore. We spent quite a bit of time enjoying Hale'iwa which is a short drive up the highway, and some time at turtle bay - a quick drive the other way. Only thing negative I might say it that it is definitely a basic studio. Not particularly homey. I'd seen this in other reviews, so I was expecting it and that was definitely the case. I'd love to make a target run with a couple bucks to cozy it up a bit. A lamp on the side table would be cool, knives were super dull for cutting up pineapple and stuff - but all in all no big deal and TOTALLY worth the location. We were able to use the boogie boards they had at the house and that was great too! We'd stay here again no question. Thanks!
