Altre cose da evidenziare

Our cozy, cute apartment is not the Ritz and there are many expensive Ryokan and Hotels in town, that will offer you a deluxe stay in Kyoto.... but, if you want a Kyoto Japanese experience, living like the locals in an older 1970 style traditional tatami apartment and not in the center of the tourist district, then this is a good affordable place for you. Sort of the East Village or the Williamsburg of Kyoto. College students, intellectuals, hipsters, and hippies, families with kids and sweet older residents, who remember the day when we all knew our neighbors.
If you are looking for a large sterile modern Ikea furnished style Apartment, this place is not for you. In Japan folks use only the space they need within the balance of our enviroment. This is how most of us live here.
Come use it as your hub, or get away. Stay here undisturbed or visit and share your stories with us, we love to listen, we love to learn.
After a long day, discovering Kyoto come home to your apartment, take a shower (there is no bathtub) have a cup of tea, warm up or cool off, and take a rest before you head out to take in some local music, a walk along the river or visit one of the close-by temples or shrines
On the day you are scheduled to check out If you want to spend that day looking around Kyoto a few more hours, you can check out of the room by 11:00am and we can hold your luggage for you can to pick up latter.
As hosts we are happy when we can fulfill your needs and make you feel at home.

Can I have some extra stars, please? Asami and Daniel are by far the best hosts we've had on Airbnb. Some people just see this platform as a way to make a buck, while Asami and Daniel really do share the values of hospitality, generosity and kindness that make Japan such a special place. Honestly, I can't recommend staying with them highly enough. I loved our little place in Kyoto and can't wait to return!

Absolutely wonderful stay. The apartment is a really nice size--bigger than several of my previous hotel rooms--and has everything you need. The bed is very comfy and the building is very quiet. The location is perfect--you can bike or walk or take the train/bus to tons of places in all parts of the city. The hosts went above and beyond--they really celebrate the Airbnb experience. Daniel picked me up at the train station and brought all my luggage back with him on his bike cart so I didn't have to carry anything (and my luggage was HEAVY). The restaurants Daniel and Asami recommended were two of the best meals I had during my entire trip and places I wouldn't have known to go on my own. Daniel took me biking around town several times to show me some amazing places. He is extremely knowledgable about the area. Both he and Asami are so kind and gracious--they sat with me to figure out the best routes to places and Asami even called my next Airbnb host herself to help me figure out how to get there from here. When I left, they walked with me to the train and even brought my (again, very HEAVY) luggage up the platform and onto the train car. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. I had a few sort of ideas of where to go during my stay, but there really is nothing like getting a local to help you know what to do and where to go when you're traveling, and Daniel and Asami made my trip to Kyoto absolutely fantastic.

If you are lucky enough in your trip to Japan, you might get the chance to meet and be hosted by Asami and Daniel. They are the best hosts you can find. They give hospitality a whole new meaning and taking it to a different level. Never been more pleased using Airbnb. I am looking forward to coming back to you guys, next time I'm in Japan. Thank you very much.

What can i say? A meaningful and tasty stay at Asami and Daniel's place. Kyoto is an old city and as our hosts suggested, biking is the most convient and beautiful way to explore it. Close to Kyoto University, which means a lot of cheap and delicious restaurants in walking distance. Safe and quiet neighborhood. The room has everything you need. Though a bit small (it's an old house!), it's got a comforting atmosphere, perfect for a good night-long rest after a day's exploration. Hosts live upstairs and are in touch conveniently. Daniel met us at the nearby station and walked us back, meanwhile showing us the neighborhood. He also biked with us to get reservation for the free tour of the Emperor's summer palace. Daniel is a very decent, friendly, knowledgeble, and curious old man with a young heart. Try speaking with him and you will be amazed. Asami is double that friendliness (hahaha) and artistic. If you are interested in the Japanese drawings and culture, you may want to speak with her. In general, hosts like Daniel and Asami are one of the major reasons I choose bnb when traveling.
