L'alloggio

Well, this is the place I (gladly) live since 2010. I decided to announce it here after some highly positive experiences as a guest on Airbnb around the world. This is a simple but cosy flat, with easy access to every part of the city thanks to its central location. I used to live in a charming flat near here, slightly bigger, that I loved, and used to ponder I'd only move if I find something truly unique, and that's what this place is. Itália and Banespa buildings are the most famous viewing spots of this immense city, and I recommend visiting them (near here), but I do really think you'll have the most fascinating view of São Paulo in the very place you're staying. From terrace (totally private, your access only) you may see the city limits at East, North and West, besides a huge part of southern São Paulo.

You will have the house for yourself, the terrace is totally private.

I was born and bred in São Paulo downtown, so I'll have a lot to suggest you - museums, art galleries, restaurants, concert halls, night clubbing, shopping... I am also responsible and responsive, so you may count on me to help with practical needs and advice.

Pinacoteca do Estado, Teatro Municipal, Biblioteca Municipal, Copan Building, Terraço Itália, Mercado Municipal etc - you'll find many city attractions in waling distance. People may feel unsafe to hang around SP downtown, but I can assure you that it is not as dangerous as it may seem to some - of course, a few simple precautions should be taken, I'll be glad to share my highly pretentious (and effective) 'street wisdom' ;)
This said, get ready to explore a fascinating site, the cultural and economic capital of this country. This city makes you feel like anything can happen any time, because it can indeed - so São Paulo is a place for those who are keen to explore urban complexity on its extremes. SP is not easy to get, and it doesn't please one instantly like, say, Rio de Janeiro does. But, once you get connected to it, you'll find out that there are few places in the world that can be compared to this. And this flat is a privileged place to fathom this fathomless diversity.

There is plenty of public transport around (Santa Cecília metro, 1,5 block away, República metro, 3 blocks; several bus lines at Avenida São João, Praça da República and Avenida Ipiranga), plus easy and reliable taxis at any time (there are 3 big hotels a few metres away, cabs in front of them all the time). By the way, on your way here I may suggest different alternatives to get from the international and the domestic airport, Guarulhos and Congonhas, respectively. It's as easy as it can be (I must be honest, SP is NOT an easy city to circulate around, that's why you must value being in a location like this).

I must also be honest about a few kitchen facilities slightly weak points: my stove is antique (it works alright, but the oven is not that potent); you might probably find everything you need on cutlery and kitchenware, but it is a bit messy; the refrigerator is a cheap old crap (I try to consider myself enviromentally correct by keeping it, but actually I just couldn't bother changing so far), so it's not great if you intend to chill, say, hundreds of tin cans and bottles and food... However, it works. And the color is so cool.

Servizi

Regole della casa

A few simple rules only:
- Silence in terrace after midnight (no parties - landlord keeps an eye on that, and is very strict. Fines are heavy here);
- Treat the place as it was your own.

Note: there are 3 tiny details to keep in mind on three things here:
1) the GAS TAP (shut it when you're not cooking, it is important);
2) the MAIN WINDOM (the one that leads to terrace. Also keep it close when you're out - rain may ruin the flat);
3) and the TOILET (as you'll find out, Brazilian toilets, in general, get blocked if you throw toilet paper in it. Please throw it in the basket).

If possible, I would appreciate if you kept you recyclable waste separate. No need to take it to the public dispenser, I can handle myself after your stay if you help me.
