With six rooms, the apartment is big, bright and has high ceilings. 125sq m in total. It's on the 10th floor of Moscow's House on the Embankment, with a fantastic, picture-postcard view over the Kremlin. International news reports are regularly filmed from our livingroom. The building is famous for it's unique soviet architecture and history. There's a museum downstairs devoted to the building.
The apartment is located on the banks of the river, opposite the Kremlin and within 200m of the "Red October", the new epicentre of Moscow's social scene, with dozens of great bars and restaurants. 10minutes walk in three directions takes you to a wide choice of metro stations.
For those of you who like to keep fit, there's a cross trainer in a spare room. For those of you who don't, there's a library of hundreds of books about Moscow and Russia which you're welcome to borrow during your stay.
I’ve been coming to Moscow for almost 15 years. It’s a fabulous city to visit whether you’re here for business or leisure. But if you are on business, make sure you find time to check out the city. As they say in Russia, “A good day’s fishing is always better than a bad day’s work”
The photo of the Kremlin view doesn't lie: this is what this apartment is all about - a brilliant location at the heart of Moscow in a building with a storied history. Although it's by no means messy, this is very much a bachelor apartment shared, at times, by a trio of guys and their girlfriends - if you come to stay then you'll find the place pretty busy. There is a cleaner who shows up once a week to keep things in check and there are studentish rules about drinking water (easiest thing is to bring your own - there's a very handy 24-hour supermarket steps from the apartment).
Johnny was away while I was in town but very responsive via email as were his housemates who were charming and friendly as only the Irish can be. I was made to feel welcome and the my stay here was relaxing and memorable, even though I've visited Moscow many times before.
Impressive location with a great view. Easy going and friendly host. Thanks for letting med stay.
Charismatic apartment on a splendid location with a stunning view on the kremlin and Moscow skyline. Johnny is a great guy and makes for a highly interesting flatmate.
Nice apartment with a great view overlooking the Kremlin. Johnny was friendly and always eager to help out in any way he could.
I feel very fortunate to have been able to book this room. The location is sublime. You are literally staring out the window below you, yes, below you, into the kremlin, as you venture to the bathroom you have a keen view of Christ' Cathedral. Unreal. Additionally the apt building itself is a piece of history.
The apartment itself is very comfortable, has a cool layout, and bright and spacious. Johnny was an impeccable host and made me feel at home the minute I walked in.
Most exciting view of the Moscow is from Johnny's apartment. Very clean , warm and comfortable place to live. The location is most central and area have some cool cafe's and art galleries. Johnny is a very pleasant and helpful host, he makes the atmosphere really friendly. If i'd have to go to Moscow again - I would love to stay at Johnny's place once more.
