Welcome to Cairngorm Apartment Two. Located on the 1st floor of a quiet residential apartment block in central Aviemore, away from the main road, walking distance from the railway/bus stations/pubs & restaurants. There's a 47 inch smart TV with Netflix & Amazon Video, and free & fast internet/wifi. It's good for couples, solo travellers, and families. Sleeps 5. For larger groups, you could combine it with Cairngorm Apartment One, just upstairs!


The apartment is functional and practical as a base for a family holiday or as an upmarket alternative for outdoor enthusiasts instead of staying at a youth hostel.

Whilst the common area lobby is not particularly attractive, the apartment soon makes up for the rather dull entrance to the block.

There's a travel cot & high chair, new in June 2016 and hardly used. You'd need to bring a mattress & blankets for the cot.

Room thermostats in each room enable guests to manage heat efficiently, and the state of the art infra-red ceiling mounted panel heaters warm up quickly, making the place cosy after a long day out.

Electricity is paid for on top of the accommodation fee, but that's at the end of the stay (by Airbnb request) and based on guests' own meter readings back to me. There's no messing with coins or trips to the shop in the middle of the nights to top-up an electricity card that some competitors would have you do!!

- For number of guests, select only adults. Kids go free.
- Electricity is charged separately (in summer, approx £2 to £3 per day, more in winter, depending on heating use; normally £3 to £6) payable by Airbnb request after stay. Cost is based on guests meter readings at start & end of stay. Instructions for efficient heating usage provided.
- Access is by phone call to me, and remote unlocking or doors, so you must have a mobile phone to get in! We will need to be in good contact prior to your stay to advise of expected time of arrival, or any long delays along the way, so that I am available and don't keep you waiting. Access on arrival can be 24 hrs with prior agreement.
- this is self catering accommodation, so you'll need to take your own tea/coffee and spare loo roll (there will be one full roll on arrival)
- Saturday check-ins not allowed unless agreed in advance, except for July/August, where check-ins are always on Saturdays
- You must have a mobile phone to gain access to the building
- the block is residential and guests must not make noise that would disturb other residents
- the apartment must not be used for gatherings for non-residents
- guests must leave the apartment as found, i.e. clean and tidy, rubbish out etc
- The purpose of a guest's visit must be a holiday to the area. This property is not available nor marketed for business travel of any kind.

Clean, comfortable flat in a very convenient place that makes exploring the area very easy indeed. Andy was very precise with all the instructions, polite and available to answer any questions. There is ample parking in secluded car park and the flat itself has been kitted out with all the required security measures plus more. After a long walk in damp autumn weather it is very pleasant to arrive back and enjoy the gentle warmth from the state of the art far infrared heating system. I would recommend the place to anyone without any reservations. My wife and I were there with our two kids and the flat was plenty spacious and it was a nice touch from the host to have plentyful supply of board games available (we had to stop by the super market to boy connect 4 for ourselves) Perks of the flat include but are not limited to: - Good quality wi-fi - Secure car park - Netflix - Close proximity to a lot of activities and pubs and restaurants. - Superior far infrared heating system that pampers you with the same warth you get from sunlight. - Board games for youngsters

Very comfortable. Excellent location. Look out for the red squirrels in the trees opposite. The apartment is very well managed. Would stay there again.

Really nice flat in quiet area of Aviemore. Easy walking distance from shops and places to eat. Andy was very helpful when we arrived and we had no problems during our stay.

The flat was clean, large, very modern, and well-furnished. We had a great stay and appreciated Andy's detailed instructions on check-in and placed throughout the flat. He did recommend closing doors to individual rooms to reduce heating costs--this wasn't an option for us since we have small children whom we need to hear at night, but hopefully our electric costs won't be too high. At least, the meter readings were easy to do. Andy's location was great for exploring the Cairngorms, Inverness and Loch Ness, and several Speyside distilleries. We were about an hour's drive from everything we wanted to see. I would highly recommend Andy's place and would definitely stay there again.

Easy, remote check-in with lots on local info given by lovely host. In the heart of town but so quiet and very comfy. Roomy, with the best equipped kitchen we've seen, warm, cosy quilts. Home away from home with parking on site. Highly recommended.

Andy's home is in prime location. If you haven't walked around Aviemore, you wouldn't realise the blessing it is. Yet, it is totally peaceful and quiet. Andy's home is super hi tech too! And that's something to look out for as well. Be ready for a bit of instructions that is strewn across the flat in handy card slips. They really help! The flat is comfortable.

We loved Andys apartment and wished we could have stayed longer. Check in is easy, you phone Andy and he lets you in remotely. The apartment itself is very clean. It was big for the 2 of us and could quite easily accommodate 5. We ate out but the kitchen is adequately equipped for cooking. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was quiet. It is well located and just a short walk from Tesco and all the bars and restaurants. We will definitely be back.

Hey all! I'm crazy about the Cairngorms and the Highlands in general, and can often be found up a mountain walking, climbing or skiing. I've tried to think of everything with the apartments so that everything works smoothly during your stay.
