Unwind with a glass of Cape wine in the gracious and romantic guest suite with its own vine-strewn garden, or curl up in an armchair by the grand stone fireplace. The spacious and airy open-plan guest suite is ideal for couples and young families. Centrally located in leafy Newlands, within walking distance of the famous sports stadiums, UCT and SACS. The house has been recently renovated and is a family home, and the property of Mount Pleasant is an interesting slice of Cape Town’s history, dating back to the 18th Century. The guest suite is ideal for a couple or family and consists of: - one large open plan bedroom-lounge (sleeps 3 - 4) - a full kitchen - bathroom with bath, shower, double vanity - a private lap pool - private garden looking up to Table Mountain and Devil’s Peak. In summer, lazing beside the sunny pool, dining outside and having a traditional South African “braai” (barbecue) are a must and in winter the roaring fire, full kitchen and TV provide a warm retreat. The bedroom-lounge is open plan with separate kitchen and bathroom. King size bed, a single sofa bed and a further single bed set up in the suite for 4th guest if required. Cable TV and WiFi are included. On offer are bottles of wine and drinks, laundry and cleaning services. Other extras which may be available are: use of the baronial dining room for meetings (seating for up to 18 people) or special occasions (daytime only). Please note: the pool is NOT fenced and is immediately adjacent to the suite, so please take extra care (therefore the space is not recommended for children who cannot swim). Private garden and pool. Off-street parking for 1 car. Use of the large dining room on request. Guests can enjoy total privacy, but the family and domestic staff are usually at home to welcome you and happy to answer questions and assistance via phone or text.Our friendly dogs: Boris, Frankie, Josh and Pixel will always give you an enthusiastic welcome (but your garden and wing is private so the dogs won’t bother you). Newlands is one of the original leafy suburbs of Cape Town bordering the University and State President’s residence. Lovely and sheltered from summer winds and cafes, restaurants and shops are a stroll away. Newlands is perfectly central for most of Cape Town’s most popular excursions. Table Mountain and cableway, the V&A Waterfront, beaches, wine farms, and the city centre are all within 10-25 minutes' drive and Ubers etc are readily available. The suburb of Newlands itself has many attractions, but to enjoy the full offering of Cape Town we recommend hiring a car or taking a taxi (Uber or call-taxi). Private guides or drivers will also collect directly from the premises. Airport transfers/shuttles/taxis are available at the airport or by booking through a transfer company. POOL Important: the pool is not protected with a net or fence and is immediately adjacent to the suite so please be careful and we do NOT recommend the suite for infants/children who cannot swim. PETS We can accommodate pets on request, but be aware there are resident dogs. EXTRAS Extras, such as wine, can be paid in cash or through the SnapScan App. MEETINGS & FUNCTIONS The baronial dining room can be booked for special meetings and daytime functions (rates/availability on request). It is a handsome room and seats 14-18 people. SHOOTS & LOCATION The Mount Pleasant manor house and grounds may be available for professional photography/film shoots. This would need to be by special arrangement directly with owners or their agents. Rates vary according to specifics of the shoot. (Please note: use of the guest space for commercial shoots would be an extra cost and is not included in the accommodation rate).

Soak up sea breezes and uninterrupted views on the expansive wooden pool deck attached to this immaculate modern beach house. Relax on the sun loungers to the sound of the waves. Indoors, stretch out in the open-plan living spaces of two lounge areas - open planned to the kitchen and dining room areas. The Main House level of the beach house is equipped with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Three bedrooms are on the ocean level and the 4th master bedroom is downstairs. (The Upper Penthouse level is completely separate to the Main House Level) This Beach Villa - this property is situated directly on Glen Beach. (The small enclave nestled between Camps Bay and Clifton Beaches) Paradise at its best. The open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room open out onto a large decked pool area. Your beach gate leads right onto the beach. Uninterrupted sea views. Glen Beach is uniquely situated with only 15 beach homes. We are within walking distance to the local restaurant strip. The Main House section has 4 bedrooms and can sleep 8. Should your party be larger, the upper penthouse can be combined to allow for a maximum of 12 guests. The Main House is completely private, with it's own private pool. The upper penthouse has it's own pool and balconies. The Beach Gate is communal. Sean, Mary-Louise or another member of our family will be there to check you in and make sure that you are comfortable. We are contactable at all times, should there be any questions needing answers to. The home is situated in the famous international landmark that is Camps Bay. The locale’s crystal clear oceans and soft white beaches—which are within walking distance—draw tourists. Indulge at one of the acclaimed restaurants on the strip. If you want to relax and soak up the sun, walking within the Camps Bay area is easy. Should you wish to explore all Cape Towns other beautiful spots, we recommend to hire a car. This is also extremely easy and can be done at the airport, or once you are at the villa. Cape Town also has a reliable bus system call the Myciti bus. A small terrace invites you to sit outside for breakfast or sundowners. From the lounge a staircase leads downstairs to the basement with it's bedroom, a passage to the bathroom(shower only)and the dressing room. The King size bed can be separated and configured into single beds. Our guests are invited to sit in the beautifully landscaped garden on their own terrace with sun loungers and side table or enjoy the big swimming pool . From here stunning views over the whole bay and the surrounding mountains as well as spectacular sunsets will delight your senses. We respect the privacy of our guests yet we enjoy to extend hospitality and the feeling of home from home .We are available under the same roof to advise,support,recommend and help our guests to make their stay a memorable one. Camps Bay offers restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping, and different beaches. It has been officially declared the safest area of Cape Town, due to privately organised street patrols and security companies. The beach is a 15-minute walk away. MyCity bus stop is circa 400m away on Geneva Drive with one route clockwise and another anticlockwise to transport visitors either to town or downhill to the Promenade .
