Rare opportunity to stay in a 199-year-old home along a beautiful river. We were instantly at home, and had relaxing mornings and afternoons on the porches watching the deer and birds. We’ll definitely be back.

This was the most thoughtful host and well-stocked home! They thought of everything-COMPLETE breakfast fixings (coffee & creamer, fresh eggs, sausage, bacon, grits, bread, fruit, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, cereal, homemade jelly, juices, hot chocolate)!! Wow!! They even provided snacks-popcorn, s’mores, etc! Plus, soap and toiletries! It was so nice to have EVERYTHING and not have to go shopping for necessities. The view was beautiful. Would definitely recommend The Old Parsonage! Loved it!

Rebecca was an outstanding host. An amazing person and a pleasure to be around. The property and house were exactly what we were looking for during our weekend of history. This place was clean and easy to park right in front. It was just what we needed during our visit with our college son.

We had a great stay! The hosts were very kind, friendly and responsive. The house was clean, inviting, and as pictured. We appreciated the family friendly accommodations, including colorful plastic children’s dishes (the children were excited to pick their favorite colors), highchair, doorway gate and bunk bed. Labeled cabinets and drawers were helpful to quickly find kitchen items and to put them away in the right place. We all enjoyed the unique dining room table! Very nice and enjoyable place to stay.

Great place and terrific communication

We traveled to Lexington for our VMI reunion and wanted something more comfortable and social than booking several hotel rooms. This home caught our attention due to its proximity to campus and its great description — and it absolutely lived up to expectations. The kitchen was spacious, well-stocked, and perfect for gathering and cooking together. The back deck and yard offered stunning views that made our time there even more special. The house easily and comfortably accommodated three couples, providing plenty of space for everyone to relax. Jennifer was a wonderful host — very responsive, thoughtful, and easy to communicate with. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lexington!

Nice views, peaceful setting. Plenty of space for a family of 4. Chessie Trail was great for running in the mornings, just a 1/2 mile from the house. We were there for a horse show and did not get to explore the area too much, but certainly seemed like there was plenty of hiking opportunities if we had more time.

Great, walkable Lexington location. Place is exactly as the pictures show. Wonderful and convenient place to stay and a great value. Tamara is great and very responsive.

Stayed in The Hay Loft with my husband and 3 small children (4,3&1) for 3 weeks while relocating to the area from Texas. We felt right at home and had everything we needed to live a mostly normal life during transition! The home and property are well thought out & are equipped with anything you need. Kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and dishes, plenteous toiletries in the bathroom, towels aplenty, and laundry essentials at your disposal. The host is very responsive, friendly, and helpful when anything out of the ordinary does come up. There can be some road noise at all hours, but it didn’t disrupt any of us ever. Perhaps if you’re a very light sleeper, it might. We would absolutely stay here again and will recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, homey stay in the Lexington area. Takes 5-15 minutes max to drive anywhere in town. And lastly, the sunsets really are beautiful with the hills and mountains on the horizon. Just splendid.

Such a beautiful and comfortable home away from home! We loved the convenience to Downtown Lexington, and the home could not have been more perfect! Comfortable, beautifully decorated, and all the extras made it so wonderful. We loved the screened in porch, fire pit, and the views across the street. The host is very responsive and friendly! Highly recommend!!

It is a lovely property. Serene, quiet & beautiful. The stream is lovely in front of the property! The grandkids caught so many crawdads each day, always returning them to the water. But they had so much fun doing it. We ended each day with smores by the fire. It's our second year in a row there & the kids couldn't wait to get back. Neither could we! Thanks Pete & Megan!

The view from the porch is absolutely beautiful. We loved the covered porch so very much easy access to the highway. I would stay again and hope to.

This place was wonderful! The air bnb is a very beautiful, unique and fun historical home! Janeen was very accommodating and very responsive! The air bnb is stocked with everything you could possibly need! The back porch over looking the river was my favorite spot! Very peaceful and serene! I loved this place and would definitely stay again.

Visiting from Virginia Beach with our daughters, one at JMU and one at Virginia Tech, and with family from PA.  The fall color was gorgeous!  Enjoyed the lantern ghost tour and October illumination of the Natural Bridge. We had lunch at Natty B's Cafe and visited Cave Mountain Lake where we saw lot's of wildlife.  We loved the fire pit and everything about this cabin.  You have done an amazing job creating the perfect weekend get away spot.  Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at Jane's. She was immediately available by phone and solved the problem when we were slightly confused by the check in system.There were only four of us so we did not take full advantage of the full scope of the offerings which would accommodate a much larger group.I'm sure it is a fun annual destination for larger groups and families. All modern appliances in the kitchen make it easy to use and take care of -- everything you need for an enjoyable visit is included. Highly recommended!!!

Absolutely wonderful stay! The space was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with every detail carefully considered to make the experience perfect. The location was convenient, and the host was incredibly responsive and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. This property truly exceeded expectations, and I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others. An exceptional Airbnb experience from start to finish!

We cannot say enough great things about the owners and this beautiful cabin!! If you are thinking about booking, think no more and do it! Not only was it absolutely beautiful on the inside but the area outside of the cabin made us feel like we were in our own sweet world. We saw deer, squirrels, so many birds, it was on the river and it was dreamy. The cabin itself was so fun! To stay in a real log cabin was a bucket list item and it was very pristine. There were wonderfully helpful notes all around to help us out and did I mention it was beautiful?!???

Melody’s Little Cabin in the Woods was exactly what my wife and I were looking for to disconnect from technology(although fast wifi was available) and reconnect with each other, and nature. We chose Melody’s accommodations because of its proximity to Big Spring Farm, and the seclusiveness of the property itself. My wife and I love the outdoors and hiking, so having some great walkable paths right outside the cabin, made for great peaceful mornings. The cabin itself was exactly as you’d expect an 1800’s cabin to feel, with the addition of the basic modern luxuries most would hope to have on a vacation. We will definitely be booking again in the future! Thank you!
