Waterfront Stunning Beach Home with Amazing View

Meredith’s place has everything you need for your stay. The location is excellent, the view is pretty and there are lovely sunsets. Duck has a boardwalk where you can walk along by the Sound and plenty of interesting shops. All the restaurants we tried close by were good. We didn’t use all the amenities as we visited out of season but there’s a lot for just about anyone to enjoy during their stay. The only downside to our stay - and not Meredith’s fault - was an unusual giant cloud of midges which settled outside the house so we had to run the gauntlet through them! They don’t bite or anything, just annoying and we heard from locals it was an unusually large number. Hopefully they’ll be gone for the next visitors! If asked, we would definitely recommend Meredith’s home. It’s a really lovely place.

Beautifully built and thoughtfully laid out place in a private, peaceful location a short drive from the beach. Absolutely spotless throughout — not a grain of sand on the floor. Place feels bigger than it is thanks to good design. Helpful things like beach towels and gear provided by the host. Pretty much the only sounds outside were birds and frogs. Responsive and helpful hosts. Probably the best AirBnB I’ve ever stayed in. Would definitely stay here again.

Southern Shores Personal Resort

Without a doubt one of the best places we have stayed in. Alan was easy to communicate with and super responsive . The house was beautiful and in a peaceful area. Neighbors were wonderful. Kitchen was easy to cook meals in and had everything we needed. Beds were clean and comfortable, showers were hot and towels were fluffy! The sound was a walk down the driveway and had great sunsets. Beach access was less than a 8 minute drive. Beach towels and all things you need were available. Pool was perfect and clean. The canal at the back of the house was great and lots of wildlife to hang out with. We would without a doubt come back again!! Just loved this place so much!! Thank you Alan for making our vacation so stress free and enjoyable!!

Hot Tub | Stunning 5 Bdrm Beach Home | 3 King Beds

This was a fantastic house for our family (six teenagers ~ three boys, three girls). There were bedrooms and beds such that almost everyone had their own bed. (two girls had to share a king which was perfectly fine). The kitchen was well stocked, there were ample paper goods (paper towels, tissues, toilet paper) and coffee pods to get you started. Each bathroom had a hair dryer and Tresemme shampoo/conditioner along with Dove body wash so you could pack at little lighter. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room at the table/on the couch for all 8 of us (often when we rent houses the table/couches don't seat all of us at once). The house was very close to Wright Brothers Memorial, Jockey's Ridge, good restaurants, ice cream and grocery stores. We've stayed at the OBX five times in the last 5 years and this spot was the most convenient and comfortable. If it had a pool table it would be impossible to beat.

This place was amazing! You could see the ocean from the deck which was one of the best parts! It is very close to everything and located in a perfect spot. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed! We are definitely going to be staying here next time we come back!

Enjoyed our stay. Loved that we could utilize the community pool since the beach had red flags during our entire stay. The beach access private parking was also a plus. Hot tub was a great way to end the day. Lots of space for family meals at the dinning room table.

Welcome to Velvet Oyster on the Outer Banks!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Velvet Oyster. Lovely and tastefully decorated 2 br 2 bath condo on the 2nd floor of a community of condos. Well-stocked kitchen. Bathrooms include shampoo, conditioner, and soap dispensers. Lots of windows throughout make it well lit, yet with privacy from all the mature trees. Lovely balcony overlooking trees and an inlet of the Sound. 5-minute drive door to door to the 1st street public beach access. We found street parking easily (off-season in April). Close to Publix and Food Lion, and all amenities. The neighbors were not audible except for occasional footsteps. Yuliya was wonderful and communicated very well with us. My 2 kids asked to stay again at our next visit to OBX!

Ocean Front Beach House Kearney Castle

Everything was wonderful! We visit OBX every year and this may have been the greatest place yet. Beautiful beach, quiet surroundings, wonderful hot tub, everything we needed and more than we expected! Danielle was a great host. We and our kids (dogs) loved sitting on the porch and deck watching the pelicans, gulls, cormorants and dolphins. Absolutely a wonderful time. We highly recommend Danielle and the Castle. We would definitely stay here again.

Waterfront Cottage With 180 Degree Views!!

Amazing view of the water and sunset from the deck and living room. The neighbors welcomed us and told us where to eat dinner, at the Colington Cafe nearby. Quiet upscale neighborhood felt very safe. Less than ten minutes from the Wright Brother’s Monument and Museum.

Hot Tub + Dog Friendly Central KDH The MOON Tower

We had a wonderful stay with our family and dogs at Allison’s place! It was so clean, especially for being dog friendly. We decided to drive to the beach and it was less than 2 minutes away. We enjoyed being able to walk our dogs around the neighborhood on the sound side. Can’t wait to come back and stay!

Sandy Beach Bungalow

We loved our short stay here! What a great update they've made to a unique beach space! This was perfect for our small group, and is right across the street from the beach. Tons of restaurants, bars, and stores within walking distance, or easy biking distance. (there were also two bikes there for use!) Host was SUPER responsive when we had questions. As another guest review suggested, the front patio area is great for hanging out and even better, the bedroom tv can be turned so you can watch it through the bedroom window perfectly. We will definitely plan to be back again!

The house was adorable and perfect for a girls weekend! Rose was quick to respond. The house was close to the beach, only a short walk to get there. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

Amazing Airbnb vacation home, quiet, peaceful neighborhood, short walk to the beach or to the sound. Good central location close to restaurants and activities within walking distance. Lots of amenities newly updated well taken care of,beautiful pool. Wonderful host ,very responsive absolutely would recommend to family and friends 👍🏻 Almost forgot, the beds mattresses are AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE 👏👏 Best night of sleep 💤 High Quality Linens . Nadina was very proactive in the instructions for the house, sending us details days before we arrived. Instructions were clear on the fridge. The house looked EXACTLY like the pictures. The convenient location of the house can’t be beat!

Sand Life - Pelican's Upper Deck!

We had such a great stay! No fuss, easy and comfortable. Just a walk away from the beach - beware, it’s a busy road, but vehicles are very courteous. We had stunning sunsets and sunrises from our location. Our place was very comfortable- a home away from home. Our hostess, Gia, was so easy to contact and very friendly. Thanks!

Loved Dana’s and Matt’s place Surrounded by Beautiful views House was clean free from clutter Loved the idea of a wood burning fire in the fire pit beside the water 💜 Was able to do some fishing didn’t catch any but it was relaxing anyways 😊 Was able to meet Dana in person which was a real treat . Very friendly She made us feel right at home . Would love to return in the future .
