This beautiful cabin is only 40 min from Reykjavík for 4 people in two queen size beds (one bedroom and a loft), one more person can sleep on a mattress if needed. The cabin is close to Hvalfjörður, Hvammsvík Hot springs, Glymur (Iceland's tallest waterfall), Thingvellir (30 min), Golden Circle and Snæfellsnes (170 km). The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.

If there are northern lights you can see right outside the door.

For summertime visits, we have bug sprays available for the no see ums (Lúsmý) as well as window nets.

It has a simple but well equipped kitchen, electric heating and shower. It is ideal for groups of 4 or 5 but can accommodate up to 7 guests if utilizing the double sofa bed in the living area.
