Misty Mountain Hut - Ruapehu

Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

Shannon Cottage (summer)

Comfortable cosy cottage beside Mt Ruapehu. Ideal for bikers, Tongariro Crossing hikers or photographers exploring the local scenery. Independent so you can come and go at will. Full kitchen (though basic with retro fridge and no dishwasher), TV, DVDs and Chromecast, unlimited wifi, laundry, heating & aircon. One double room and one room with 2 singles (that can push together), plus a couch bed in the living room and a travel cot. From mid-May to Oct book 'Shannon Cottage (winter)' instead.

Moomaa Stay

This beautiful renovated home features 4 bedrooms sleeping 9 people with an ensuite, family bathroom (with new bath), and an additional hut outside- sleeping a further 3 people. We have a fully equipped kitchen and BBQ for outdoor entertaining and fireplace inside for when it's colder. Historic Shearers Quarters Warm and Toasty

The Historic Shearers Quarters are located 11 kms from SH1, on a working farm that has remained in the family for four generations. We are based in the beautiful Kawhatau Valley. A unique accommodation in the heart of the Rangitikei. Light the old shacklock stove, sit back and enjoy peace and quiet- all while only 10 mins from the superb Dukes Roadhouse Cafe. Please note this is a Historic Shearer's Quarters. If you have mobility issues please be aware there are no ramps and only steps.

Ohingaiti Farm Cottage

Located on State Highway 1... 2 hours south of Taupo, 2 hours north of Wellington & 1 hour to Ohakune. Enjoy a wine on the deck looking out at the operating sheep and beef farm. Our restored shearers quarters are modern, warm, bright and comfortable. Double glazed, fireplace, insulated, infinity gas and beautifully decorated. We have free Wifi. ChromeCast on the TV. Our place is close to the great Tongariro National Park. It includes Mt Ruapehu for skiing or snow boarding and tramping. Walk the world famous Tongariro Crossing and discover the cycle ways, kayak the Whanganui River and explore the 'Bridge to No Where'. Try trout fishing, a game of golf or visit the Waiouru Army Museum. Enjoy our cosy home with a wood fire whilst taking in the amazing mountain and rural views. Our place is good for couples and families (with kids) or small groups.

The Guest Unit Countryside Views & Keyless Entry.

"The Unit" is a Private self contained space away from the main house at the rear of the Garage. It is cosy with views of the countryside. Located 3 minutes up the hill from Taihape township. The Unit gives you all the comforts of home on your journey so you can relax and enjoy your stay. Taihape is a farming town and with the Main Highway going right through it's centre, plenty of choice for dining out. Taihape is commonly Warm summer and cold winter weather. We cater for both.

Waireka Apartment

Waireka Apartment, situated in Ohakune in the Ruapehu District is a self contained 2 bedroom apartment each with a queen size bed, a large lounge with mountain views, kitchen and own spa pool. Spa Pool operates from 10am to 10pm Cleaning on departure is included in the rate. For the benefit of fellow Guests we request quiet time after 10.30pm Special Rates Ask us about our special rates for a stay of 2 nights or more. Tongariro Alpine Villa - with hot tub

This new home is the ideal place to relax after a day skiing, hiking or biking. There are 2 living areas that share a double sided gas fire. Perfect for apres ski or a romantic evening in. Enjoy the sunset from the front deck or the fully fenced outdoor area with BBQ, seating and loungers. Relax and enjoy the view of the mountain from the hot tub. The Mangawhero River and cycle way are a 1 minute walk.

KUBO : FantailSuite [Self-Contained Hilltop Haven]

Gazing over the Ruapehu plateau, KUBO is our little house on a hill with the private Fantail Suite — a tranquil haven where time slows, and nature feels close. Enjoy coffee in the lounge at sunrise, watch golden sunsets from the deck, or stargaze under clear mountain skies. Between Tongariro and Whanganui National Parks, it’s close to ski fields, hiking, and biking trails. NO CLEANING FEE.
