Our 6 bedrooms each have their own colour and theme. This is our biggest room, with king size bed and sleeping sofa and the only one with a private bathroom. Optimal for families. Hótel Skálholt has 18 rooms that are spacious and cozy in a beautiful setting on the Golden Circle route. The area is quiet and peaceful and a perfect place to relax and enjoy the amazing views. When the night sky is clear it’s often possible to see the Northern Lights when they are in season. The hotel is very well situated when taking daytrips around the Golden Circle, the highlands and the South Coast. Blue Hotel Fagrilundur - Twin / Double Handicap Access

All rooms have a private bathroom and a refrigerator with a freezer for guests to store beverages and groceries, as there is no traditional bar, though a limited wine and beer selection is available. Relax in our hot tubs from 15:00–21:30 after exploring the area. Breakfast is continental only. Nearby are restaurants like Mika, Friðheimar, and Vínstofa Friðheima within walking distance. Laugarás Lagoon, 10 km away, also has an in-house restaurant. See photos.

Velkomin heim – Welcome home! A large amount of planning has gone into providing all those items that go towards making Midgard totally “fit for purpose” for all our clients.
