This view moved me to tears—it was absolutely breathtaking and everything we had hoped for when we decided to visit Westcliffe. The stars were mesmerizing. I highly recommend timing your stargazing for when the moon is less prominent; around 4 a.m. in early April, the night sky truly comes alive, revealing that magical “galactic dust” effect you often see in promotional images of the area. The town itself is charming, with incredibly welcoming locals who shared wonderful stories. Everything is conveniently close—there's even a bowling alley within walking distance of the house. For a memorable day trip, the Royal Gorge is a must-see, especially if you're en route to Colorado Springs. We picked up some fantastic steaks from the local butcher for dinner, and the cozy fireplace made the snowfall outside feel like a scene from a movie. The only thing we missed was a grill, but aside from that, the house was exceptional.

My husband and I enjoyed celebrating our 5th anniversary in this adorable little home in beautiful Cañon City! The cottage was just as described and pictured! Great water pressure, comfy recliner, WiFi/smart TV, cozy bed linens, and the cute outdoor area under the carport were our main highlights we enjoyed the most. Besides the neighbor cats and dogs, we got to see deer both nights across the street! Easy to navigate to and from nearby attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend this place! Thank you for a wonderful place to stay!

I had such a peaceful stay. The views were breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset. The place was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed for a relaxing getaway. It was comfortable and welcoming. I’d definitely come back again!

We had an outstanding stay at Towering Pines cabin. It was cozy & clean and exceptional accommodations and hospitality. Annette goes above and beyond to make a guest feel welcomed and appreciated. My children and grandchildren were all smiles every moment of our stay, my mom heart melted! Fun playhouse for the kids, lots of toys and games and the cabin layout allows for meals around the large kitchen table, movie time in the loft with the large TV and quite reading time in the living room or porch. Nature watching at its best with deer, birds, turkeys… We cannot wait to return. Thank you, Annette

Really amazing place! Views were incredible, it was really nice having some space to walk around. There's a beautiful gorge/canyon a couple hundred feet at the back of the house. Small hiccup checking in but it was resolved immediately. The house had fun art and a cool setup. Heat worked fairly well, we were a bit cold the first night but I think it was something like 6° outside. The heat kept up the rest of the time. The property was so isolated that sometimes when you were outside it was either completely silent or only the sound of wind. Would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our 2nd stay very much. We feel very comfortable staying here. Very clean and cozy! Everything you could ask for!

This was a surprising lively respite for road weary travelers. Great kitchen with anything you’d need; I was able to cook a real meal!! Walked to adjacent park and enjoyed getting exercise in a beautiful setting. Almost adopted a kitten that was the highlight of our stay. Thanks Owen for offering this resource.
