Cooter's Cabin

Our cabin is perfect for your family's next getaway. Rick and I have owned this small retreat for 20 yrs. Our 3 kids and 12 grandchildren continue to enjoy it year-round. We decided to allow other families to join in and experience the blessings the cabin has to offer. Why Cooter's Cabin? Rick's nickname Cooter not the fact that American Coot's differ from other ducks in that they have lobed feet instead of webbed! It is do to a good ol' hunting story, how many nicknames are forged.

Sportsman's Paradise ( Hunting & Fishing )

Sportsman's Paradise is just minutes away from the Currituck Sound which is famous for it's duck hunting and fishing. It overlooks Tull's Bay and Tull's Creek and is surrounded by the Northwest River Marsh Game Lands. The kitchen and living room have 9 windows so you can look out three sides of the house at the water. The walls are old rough cut boards and the ceilings are plywood. The living room and bedrooms are carpeted and the bathrooms and kitchen are laminate wood floor.

This custom home has a huge living & dining space, 3 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 King primary w/private bath), gorgeous kitchen & a screened in porch that will leave you speechless. That is just on the inside. The outside has ample seating for enjoying cocktails or coffee, plenty of room for cornhole/grilling & a spectacular fire pit. A quick ride to the OBX or a few miles from world class duck hunting.

The view is exquisite. It is seriously quiet, I frequently hear the Great Horned Owl at night. The place abounds with wildlife including Osprey nest, deer, fox, bear, racoon, otter, squirrel, geese and ducks and a litnay of ordinary birds. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. 144 feet of waterfrontage on the Currituck Sound! The best sunrises over the water and the Outer Banks Shoreline! Screened in yard house with a propane fireplace.

Awesome off road getaway! You will need 4 Wheel Drive (not awd) vehicle to access the property as there are no roads. Newer construction on the beach in Carova right next to the wild horse preserve. You will likely see horses on a daily basis! Home has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths with 3 deck areas to enjoy the ocean views, sunsets and breezes! Easy walk to the beach, parking passes included.
