Plattsburgh: soggiorni in cottage

This was a great getaway! It was the perfect size house for the three of us. The kitchen was surprisingly well equipped (especially compared to other places I’ve stayed). Emmy was responsive and available. I wish we could have stayed here longer!

We book here every year for our anniversary and every year the cabin on Metcalf Pond is incredible. Stunning sunsets over the gorgeous mountains. The deck, hot tub, and yard have phenomenal views. Their kitchen is tidy, bathroom fully stocked, and they have plenty of linens for cold winter nights or towels for warm days on the water. I cannot sing high enough praises. Very responsive and proactive in providing information on check in and the surrounding location. A must stay for anyone looking for peace, quiet, and solitude.

Can’t say enough good things about this space! Outstanding location, well-stocked cupboards, tasteful decoration and ambiance (record collection, books, puzzles, etc), and amazing natural views. Frankly a kind of magical place—and Adam was an excellent, attentive host. Also helpful with local recommendations, which is always a nice personal touch. One of the only AirBnB’s I’ve ever stayed in where I’ve had the distinct thought that it’s a place I’d want to return to again someday. A true gem if you’re looking to spend some time in and around Lake Champlain or the surrounding area.

We loved having seperate rooms for each of us! The lake was beautiful! Our boys enjoyed going out on the kayak & wished the weather would have been nice enough to use the stand up paddle boards. The property had a really great game area, fire pit, & hot tub we enjoyed as a family. Our kids enjoyed the games and movies to wind down. We also enjoyed the board games provided! Being able to bring our dog along was a lifesaver!

Had a wonderful stay - very peaceful surroundings. Fantastic decks to sit and enjoy looking out over the water. Dennis was a wonderful host - responded promptly to any of our questions. Clear instructions for check in and check out. Will come back again when in the area.

This place is so wonderful! Everything is provided for your comfort. Rayna was great in communicating an issue about one of the toilet is not working and offered a full refund if that would be a problem, which it was not at all. The location is great. Easy access to the lake for swimming or kayaking (kayak/canoe is available for use). It has a nice patio for sitting while enjoying the sunset view. This makes it to the list of favorite places to stay.

What a great stay! Rick and Jenna’s place was better than in the pictures. I can’t even begin to explain how much thought was put into everything, tons and tons of small details that made our stay amazing

My brother and I stayed at François’s house on the lake for two nights while we were in the area hunting. The house was exactly as I pictured it from the listing. I would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the sun porch, the outdoor fire pit and the lake front view. Overall we enjoyed our brief visit and we highly recommend this spot for a nice getaway for small groups.

Lisa saw that I was having a little trouble parking my truck and trailer in the driveway and reached out to me early in the morning to let me know I could park my trailer in driveway next door until Friday afternoon which made it much easier to park my trailer. Lisa gave us great recommendations on where to eat and Hanley’s general store which had a good selection of steaks and prepared foods that you can cook back at the cottage. The cottage was close to VAST trails and smuggler’s notch ski resort. We enjoyed our stay and the view out the sliding door of MT Mansfield. We will definitely be back!!!

My partner and our friend had a lovely time staying at this adorable little cabin down the lane from the shores of Lake Champlain. It was quiet and peaceful, and the house was spotless. Honestly, we spent most of our time in the amazing soaking tub! That was one of the best features of the spot. Steven was a wonderful host who answered questions promptly and gave clear directions, as well as great recommendations for local restaurants and areas. We really enjoyed St. Albans! A lot of the restaurants in the area close on the early side, so we really enjoyed utilizing the kitchen. The nature around the area was really cool to behold and made for great photography! The turkey vultures were mating and there must have been a pack of at least soaring over the shores of the lake. So cool! Our dog Wilma had a wonderful time on her first doggie vacation and she says she would stay again. :) Thanks for a great stay, Steven!

Absolutely breathtaking views from the huge windows. My kids loved watching the horses across the way and then coming up to our window at dusk. Clean, spacious and private. This is an airbnb that I would go back to.

This was a super cozy and perfect airbnb for our weekend visit in the ADK's! Would definitely stay again! The location was perfect.

This cabin at Rainbow Lake was the perfect place for the quiet retreat my adult son and I needed. Cozy living room with new wood floors; small but perfectly functional and well-stocked kitchen; comfortable beds and pillows; updated bathroom and easy-to-use shower; hot water was very responsive; washing machine/dryer are much more modern than what I have at home (the manual was easy to find!) Our favorite spots were the dining table by the picture window overlooking the lake, and the Adirondack chairs on the dock at lakeside. The cabin is in a secluded cove, and the water was as smooth as glass most of the time. We even saw a loon several times, even though it was late October! There was just a little road noise during "going to/from work" times (can't call it "rush hour"); the rest of the time, just wonderful silence and the whisperings of the pine trees. We didn't use the kayaks, fire pit, or barbecue. Ten-minute drive into Saranac Lake for groceries, etc. We'd love to come back!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Anne's cottage. Absolutely pristine! It is exactly as pictured. We felt like we were the first guests ever hosted there. Everything is brand new. Spotlessly clean, beautiful decor, absolutely amazing views of the lake, a quiet road, warm and friendly hosts. Bed was very comfortable and felt brand new. It was the most nicely outfitted and special AirBnB we've ever stayed at, and we've stayed at many! Anne was super responsive and helpful, proactively gave us flexible check-in and out, and had great dining recommendations. A basket of snacks on arrival was very appreciated throughout our stay as we didn't bring alot of food. Grand Isle is such a unique place with beautiful landscapes, lake views, peaceful surroundings. We couldn't have asked for more and can't wait to come back!

Really enjoyed my time at the Valcour Cottages. Had beautiful sun rises over Lake Champlain and great stars at night. Really peaceful!

It is our second time there. It is perfect location to do our door winter activity. She has a new mattress that is very good. Would stay there again

My friend and I enjoyed our stay at this cabin! The views from the cabin are beautiful, and you can’t beat the location directly on the lake. The lake views from inside, the screened in porch, and the backyard were awesome. The kitchen had supplies to make breakfasts/basic meals, the space was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We used this cabin as a home base for visiting Burlington, Waterbury, and Stowe and found it easy to navigate to and from the highway to these larger cities.

Very peaceful/quiet stay. Beds were comfortable as many mentioned and it was enough space for our family of 4. No issues with heat or hot water in the winter. We did have a lot of rain when we were there and snow on the last day, which made driving up/down the mountain a bit tricky but us city folk survived :)

Had a fantastic stay! The place was super clean, well-equipped, and the scenery was beautiful. Check-in was smooth, and Lisa was kind enough to extend our check-in and check-out times. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!
